Another week, another build for Fast ring members of the Windows Insider Program. This one's been given the oh-so-charming moniker of Windows 10 Preview Build 16251, and its standout feature is the ability to connect your phone and your PC to enable cross-device web browsing.

With new apps like Files, a desktop-like Dock and countless smaller tweaks and advances, Apple's new mobile OS offers plenty of enhancements.

Mightier Maps

Hoping to highlight the silliness of lengthy terms of service, one UK WiFi hotspot operator by the name of Purple recently did something amusing: it inserted a "Community Service Clause" into its terms of service requiring that users of its hotspots must perform 1,000 hours of menial labor in exchange for this connectivity.

You've been warned!

Here's an interesting fact for anyone into numerology:

If you add your age to the year you were born, the total will be 2017!

You must use the age you will become this year.

This happens only once every 1000 years.

Note: I'm sure this will bend someone out of shape...

Say goodbye to Microsoft Paint?

The iconic Paint application has landed on Microsoft's (MSFT, Tech30) list of "deprecated" features for future software releases.

Although the tech giant said the feature is "not in active development" and could be soon removed, it's unclear whether Paint will be officially absent from its Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, expected this fall.

This week we’re recognizing TheBeachBum and Nats50 for working together to update The Habit Burger POI file. I appreciate it when members take the time to work together to update files.

Owners of some Windows 10 laptops and tablets are crashing into a worrying roadblock when they try to install the Windows 10 Creators Update. Windows Update initially says the notebooks are compatible with the upgrade, but fails to install it after downloading the setup files, instead displaying the following message: “Windows 10 is no longer supported on this PC.

Microsoft's policy puts all older hardware at risk.

Windows 10 will be supported until Oct. 14, 2025 — unless your computer has a Clover Trail CPU. Then you’re out of luck.

A new law in Washington state takes affect tomorrow called E-DUI (Electronic - Driving Under the Influence). Not sure if any other states have come up this particular designation before.

Telecom lobbyists repeatedly downplayed a potentially catastrophic security vulnerability in mobile networks, fearing that investigating the problem further would result in the companies losing money due to new government cybersecurity rules.
