LED light bulbs.

I have replaced all my incandescent and CFL light bulbs in my home (except for the ones in appliances like the oven and fridge) with LED bulbs. It cost quite a few $$$, but with the electric usage at approximately 10% to 20% of what they replaced, they should pay for themselves over time in reduced electric bills. I was especially pleased to change several 150W outdoor flood lights with 15W LED replacements. If these LED's last as long as advertised, I should never have to replace them in my lifetime.

I still have several florescent tube fixtures (4' and 8' bulbs). I need to figure out what to replace them with. That will be my project next year. Any ideas?

So I had 125 working incandescent and CFL bulbs of various sizes and shapes to get rid of. I advertised them for free on Craigs List and they were gone within an hour. A lady with several rental properties picked them up and was glad to get them ... better than sending them to the landfill!

Once the ice melts (tomorrow) I think I'll stop being housebound and go out and take a drive just to see where my Garmin will take me.

florescent tube fixtures

now are being made with LED's as well. May want to consider replacing with the LED version. There are a number of options from just replacing the tubes to replacing the entire fixture.
