Has anyone tried using an 8gb sdhc card in a nuvi 660.
I have the 4gb and it works well but I would like a bigger one for my music library.

is there anyway I can add map symbols on my nuvi 360 ... if so how? greatly appreciate any tips ... thanks eh

What is the total number of POI'S that you have on your unit! and how does it effect the performance of the GPSR?

I down loaded the school zone files from poi factory
and loaded them on my nuvi 660.
They are in a folder named school along with the other files ( speed, redlight, places ect ) but when I go around a school I don't get any warning.
Are the school zone files I down loaded surpost to give a warning are I doing something wrong?

OK, so when I'm using my 660 on battery power, the screen brightness is much brighter then when I have it plugged into the DC outlet. The cord I have with the traffic receiver only has the USB style connector on it and I see nowhere to connect that right into the mount so I'm plugging in to the Nuvi itself.

I have a c550. Is there a way for it to show me my current location in coordinates? You know, just in case I get lost in the woods and I need to tell the rescue helicopter exactly where I am.

There are some key features missing in the current generation of Nuvi's that would make me buy a new Garmin if they were added. I have a Nuvi 680 now that replaced a Streetpilot 2720. There are things on the StreetPilot I really miss.

Like the arrow that was above above the "next turn in XXX miles" box, to let you know to keep left/right.

Today was my first trip and the expereince left me with a question or 3.

1. I discovered poi icons don't show up at over 800' elevation. I really need them at 8mi! So, how do I do get them that far out?

Today was my first trip where I needed a gps to get there and back. I plugged in the address and was off. All was ok except my wandering all over the highway at 70 mph (others gave me lots of room!), until I wanted to get coffee.

I'm new to all the gps lingo, but I see a lot of buzz about Garmin's Mapsource. It sounds like it could help you create a personalized vacation route via your pc, and then transfer the info to your GPS unit. My question is whether or not the Nuvi 660 supports this, and how can I get it from Garmin? Is it a purchase only item?

I thought that once i got my device registered and everything that it would stop playing all the time. It didn't. Even when I put in an address and start a trip after a few minutes (not really sure how long, but at least 5 min.) my Garmin goes back to playing the demo. Does everyones do that?

Does anybody know if the SDHC cards work on the Nuvi 7xx? I can't find anything that indicates that they do support those cards, and I would think that if they do, they would advertise it that way.

Also, after seeing that post on the boot time using a 2GB card vs. the 4GB card, I suspect it is that lack of support that is extending the boot time.

Does anybody with the Nuvi x60's have issues with their bluetooth? I just got my 760 last week. The bluetooth seemed to work well at first, but the past couple of days, it keeps disconnecting, and when I get a call it doesn't really pick it up - I have to quickly send the audio to the phone.

I haven't checked for a while for updates. Seems the new one has been issued on March 27. Anyone updated? Any significant changes and is it worth upgrading now?

I have had 660 for almost 2 years. No issue to this point. The last couple days I turn on the unit and it finds the satellites. My signal is strong for about 2 minutes and then I get a "Poor Satellite Reception" error. I have tried to reset the unit with zero success. Any suggestions? I live in Columbus Ohio in case this is a geographical issue. Software Ver 4.30

Hello all.

When planning a route that should be shorter and faster via ferry on my Nuvi 770 it does not take the ferry route. I did check the avoidance setting and ferry's are not checked. The ferry I tried is the Bridgeport/Port Jefferson ferry in NY. Anyone know if this is a bug or a cockpit error?

Anybody seen the Nuvi 880? There's also an 850, looks like they are going to be pretty expensive. Oh well, I guess I'll have to keep my 750 once I get it.
