Download google map to 650?

Hello I know this has been discussed previously and I looked quickly at the faq and didn't see anything so hopefully someone can help me out.

How do I downloan a google map into my garmin 650?

Much appreciated!

I don't think you can

I don't think you can download map from google. You can download the waypoint you have search from google.

I forgot the garmin unit but you can download route too from google.

The google map you see it on your screen is a essentially a bitmap image. It needs to be converted to a set of points (ie vectorised). Basically this involves tracing over the features to produce a map definition that cgpsmapper (http://cgpsmapper.com) can turn into a Garmin compatible .img file

See also (for example):
arrow http://www.mapman.org.uk/ (Mapman)
arrow http://www.geopainting.com/ (Gpsmapedit)

There is also software out there that attempts to automate the process. (Mapman has some capability in this area).
