nuvi 660 sdhc card

Has anyone tried using an 8gb sdhc card in a nuvi 660.
I have the 4gb and it works well but I would like a bigger one for my music library.

660 Card Size

If you have a larger card you can try it but according to Garmin the 660 will only take up to a 4g card. I checked before getting my 4g card.

SDHC cards compatible with NUVI 660

I have a NUVI 660 with a SDHC 8G and a SDHC Micro 4G card with MP3's full on both. I notice slightly longer bootup times but no loss of function afterwards. I do notice that not all songs are listed in albums when checked. Not sure if they don't play but they are not all viewable. Might be limitation of software. I would think if you select play all though, it will do just that. I do think this unit makes a beter MP3 player than my Sansa 260e. I didn't try the NUVI with MP3 till after I bought the Sansa and the SDHC micro 4G, which didn't work in the Sansa so I tried in in the NUVI. Good suprise! I use a cassete adapter in the car and a direct plug in on the boat. Don't like the FM transmitter.

I have a Nuvi 350 and on

I have a Nuvi 350 and on Garmin website it listed at 2GB max but I'm wondering if I can use a 4GB SDHC. Also why do older car usually contain a auxiliary port but newer car doesn't.

no limitation

to the size of SDHC card that your nüvi will accept. Check this thread:

in the mean time, 16 GB SDHC card can be successfully recognized. This has been reported in this thread:

Are you sure they are all mp3 files?

If you check your ID3 tags on the songs that don't appear under albums, you might well find that that the tags are blank.

Nuvi 660 -- and not upgrading it or maps until Garmin fixes long-standing bugs/problems, and get maps to where they are much more current, AND corrected on a more timely basis when advised of mistakes.
