Nuvi 350 freezing up

Has anyone had problems with the Nuvi 350 freezing up? I have had a couple of times where the unit froze

What do you mean freezing

What do you mean freezing up? I couple of times my 350 just shut down into a black screen and I just press the power button to power it back up again.

Freezing up?

Mine started shutting down a few times in the beginning. Then it started happening more and more and one day, that was it. It never worked again. Back to Garmin it went for a replacement model and speech from them about not leaving it in the car when it's too hot or too cold ( I forget what the temperature range is... can you tell I paid good attention? )

I voiced my opinion about a product that, theft apart, really should always be in your car. In your car where, when it's parked, temperatures can quickly become extreme and outside of the Nuvi's tolerance range.

My 350 USED to crash

My 350 used to just shut off every now and then when it was new. Garmin offered to replace it, no problem.

But then I noticed that when it would crash, it was always during a turn. Seemed like it was right when the vehicle icon would change from pointing north to pointing east or west to indicate the turn. I figured it might be either a corrupted vehicle or map. So I deleted and reloaded my vehicles. That was 6 months ago and my 350 has not crashed/shut off since. Never bothered to send it to Garmin.

I know this is an old topic, but I just had the same problem with my nuvi 350 (screen frozen, image shows the last turn, but nothing works, holding the power button doesn't turn it off, etc.) What do I do???

Flip up the antenna and press/hold the reset button located under the antenna for ~10 seconds.

Ever since I've had my 350

Ever since I've had my 350 its frozen/crashed maybe 6 times.
It was nothing a reset couldnt fix.

I can pretty much say the same for the 660.

I agree -

Not much of a problem that resetting won't help my 660. Just remember to back up your GPSr before you reset. You could lose your POIs.

Hard rReset

I did a hard reset because of screen freeze ups with my 765t. I only lost my "Favorites", and custom routes. My POIs were fine.

Unless you are the lead sled dog, the view never changes. I is retard... every day is Saturday! I still use the Garmin 3590 LMT even tho I upgraded to the Garmin 61 LMT. Bigger screen is not always better in my opinion.

.

Hmmm,no problems at all with my 350.

Garmin nuvi 350 Lifetime Map Updates NT 2018.10

I've had the same problem on

I've had the same problem on my 370 about 4 times, the latest tonight. Powered off then back on and it's working for now.

The first time this happened it stayed locked for a couple of days! At that time I was upstate NY (Lake George area) and thought it might have something to do with the mountains.

Keepig my fingers crossed it'll be fine.

I wrote Garmin about my 350 freezing up

during recalculations. They said to update the software to the latest. I've done so, but haven't had much chance to use it since. Time will tell. I've had about a half dozen freeze ups in the last couple of months. Bottom line: nothing lasts forever, especially the battery which at 3 years of age is not holding a charge any longer.
