Hi again: This has been a real help to me in learning mu new Nuvi 250W. Question is, when i am hooked up to my computer i cant operate my Nuvi. Is this normal or is there a way to make it work when plugged in to my PC. Please help if you can. Thankyou. Until next time.

My Nuvi 680 quit working would not get a signal so I took it back to Best Buy today and they gave me a brand new one still in the box.......this is the second new one I got in less then a year....I bought the 4 year extra warranty and I sure am glad I did....has anyone else had the same problem? I sure love Best Buy

I had this setup working just fine. Now for some unknown reason the audible alert has stopped functioning. Here are the details. Please let me know what I am missing....

I am storing all my POI files in a folder called "POI's"

I have recently bought a Nuvi-660. One of the sale-points for me... was the supposed Blue Tooth capabilities. I have a phone w/o Blue Tooth, but was able to purchase a Blue Tooth Adapter for it (some time ago, now) made by Cardo {(the Cardo BTA II)[that's BTA-2]} This adapter plugs right into the headphone-jack on my cell-phone.

when I am traveling with my GPS on, it wont show that I have crossed a street until I am about 2 seconds past it in real time. In other words, I will be well past the intersection when it shows on the GPS that I am crossing it. Is there anything I can do to help this? Should I be concerned, or is it pretty normal? Thanks for the help.

I know this is more of a computer issue than GPS but, thought I'd ask.

When I hook up my Nuvi 660 to my computer with the USB, Adobe Photoshop Album program runs automatically and looks for files on the Nuvi. How do I disassociate that program from my GPS?

What is supposed to be the difference when u change the settings from normal to most?? (for example). I tend to see the same thing on screen when i select one or the other.

I tried a search and the FAQ section but could not find instructions on how to do this. Can someone point the way or better yet just tell me? Thanks

Well, my last post was answered sucessfully so here is another one. I was using my Garmin 2610 in conjuction with Mapsource. I now have a Nuvi 250W. Will it work with my mapsource,in other words can i download routes from my Mapsource to my Nuvi,SD card or the Nuvi Itself.I have tried and its not working. Please advise. Thankyou.

Is there a diagnostic screen on the Nuvi 250 W? If so how do you get to it. Also I found if you hold down on the Signal Strength meter for about 10 seconds you get the GPS page with Satellite Info as well as Lat-Lon Speed Accuracy by foot and Altitude. Pretty cool looking screen I might add. Please help if you can. Thankyou

I see all of these requests for the current mapping software and mapsourse by Garmin users. Why can't they just have it available for a download on the net?

Crazy question. When I come to an intersection, my vehicle shows to be right in the middle of the intersection rather than at the beginning of the intersection. Not that big of a deal, but is this normal?

is there a way to download the canada portion of the 2008 upgrade to the 330 sd card and if yes how big of a card would i need

On a c330 the pois are .csv what are they like on a nuvii250w?

I have the nuvi 760 and a verizon lg 8700. The bluetooth function between them is TOTALLY worthless in all functions. Anyone else having issues with garmin bluetooth and the verizon phones?? I did notice the bluetooth firmware update when I did the webupdater,,,,,but don't know if that was involved,,,,

I was vacationing out West and decided to try pedestrian mode and didn't find it that useful. I programmed it to go to a destination and it said "head to Las Palmas Road" but I wasn't sure how,I was in a parking lot in a shopping mall, I had to keep changing my view to get oriented-wouldn't it be better to have an arrow showing the direction to keep walking?

I am wondering why I can't get POI's for my "destination", in other words, I would like to view POI's of the city I am heading to. When I am on a trip I want to know the restaraunts in 3 hours, not immediate sometimes. The only ones that come up are the ones near me currently, where I am located. I tried to reset my home location and still I got my old home location POI's.

Ok, now that the initial shock is over. I am wondering if any of you knowledgable folks can explain to me why this traffic receiver costs $214.27 at the Garmin site???

That is nearly twice the cost of the MSN receiver and nearly the cost of a Nuvi at a good price with a traffic receiver included. Please help me understand this if you can.

How can I tell if the alert sound for say a rest stop is actually working with approaching that stop. i.e. after installing is there a test to see if they are working. I have a NUVI 760
