I have a C330. I would like to go back to the preloaded maps. So how do I remove the map update. Thanks for you help.

Once the map update has been completed, there isn't a way to go back. One thing you could do, is contact support. They may have a way to backdate. If they do, they may not support or tell you how to complete the process though.

I'm not sure if this is your question or not. I don't have a 330, so I can't say for sure, but most of the Garmins have a "base map", and then you load a map on top of that. There's usually a "maps" dialog somewhere that will show your new map, with a checkbox beside it. Unchecking that should drop you back to the "base" maps.

And you really can just use the basemap it is just interstates and highways.

I wanted to free up some memory, so I can use them to load a lot of POI for example.
