Dead Zones
Have noticed that when I have on destination in My Favorites that takes FOREVER to plot a route to OR from, regardless of route start or destination. Location is in Playa Del Rey, California, an area that should be well-mapped with no shortage of satellites. Have tried re-entering the city as Los Angeles with the same zip code but that does not seem to help.

RestAreasCombined - No Alerts
OK. So I added coordinates to the RestAreaCombined.csv file, converted RestAreasCombined.mpg to WAV, copied a BMP file and renamed it RestAreasCombined, installed sox.exe and then used POI Loaded to load successful.
I did a manual load onto GPS, selected Miles & Feet.
Unfortunately I am not getting ANY notification that I went by these coordinates. I set distance to 11111 feet.

Icons on map - C550
Does anyone know if it's possible to see POI icons on the map? I know I can see one POI icon if I select it, but can you see all gas stations/restaurants while you're driving by them? (Using the C550).
I had a TomTom for like a day before I had to return and it had this feature, the Garmin I have doesn't seem to have it, or I can't find it.

GPS Garmin in Dubai - help!!!
Hi everyone, HELP! I've just moved to Dubai and bought a Garmin nuvi (2007) but it keeps telling me to go in the wrong direction and sometimes even just stops directing me altogether and stays on the same picture/directions. I bought a lead to connect to the Garmin.com site, hoping to upload 2008 maps but I can't navigate it and just don't know what to do. Can anyone advise me?

2009 Maps
Hi I just register my new Nuvi 200w and tried to download the new maps. I was not able to do it but the website shows the following;
Does this mean I'm going to get it sometime or do I have to tried to download it again?

Anyone seen a GTM 25 Traffic Receiver (Nuvi 2x5)
The 255W I just got says it wants a GTM 25 integrated FM receiver (integrated with car power). The Garmin website does not show this or any other traffic as accessory for any 2x5 model, though all 2x5 models show as FM traffic compatible. Anyone have any idea when the FM traffic will be available for the 2x5 series.

760 Bluetooth Connectivity Problem
I've been struggling with this through a couple of rounds with Garmin Tech Support. They've been great, but they haven't been able to help me and I no longer have any free time when they are available, so I thought I'd see if anyone here can assist me.

Will Garmin 260 play MP3 alert files?
I'm almost embarrassed to ask this question...but the only foolish question is one that isn't asked!
We have a Garmin 260 and know it doesn't have an MP3 player. We assume it will play MP3 audio files for alerts, like red lights and cameras. Can someone verify this?

Speed limit 2 Kph zone????????
In toronto etobicoke area i am having an alert for 2kph speed zone. i am fail to understand how come a speed limit of 2kph can exist? i think a pedistrian can walk much faster then 2kph. and on a particular road within 100 meters of distance it is showing 4-5 camera location on the map. isn't it strange?
Any suggestion?

My Trip from Portland, OR to Napa Valley, CA and back
Well my trip started out from Newark New Jersey Airport. I turned my Garmin StreetPilot C550 on in the Aircraft ( Continental )and it showed we were travling at 490mph. I then used it to get from the Airport to the Hotel, it took me from the airport right to the front door of the Hotel. I used it to get round downtown Portland. Next we planned a trip to the Napa Valley in California.

7xx 3.x FW bug - "Custom" TourGuide POI Alert - Lock up Issue
Has anyone experienced this TG POI Bug?
1: When the unit powers up when a TourGuide alert (or at the TG POI location) is in range, when selecting a new route the unit will lock up everytime you hit "Go" until you get out of the set range of the POI.

Nuvi Bluetooth issues
I have a Nuvi 660- I also have a Verizon LG-8550 (Chocolate 2) phone. I have no problems making/receiving calls using the bluetooth, but for some reason the phone book will not transfer. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Any work around?

Hi I have never own a personal GPS. I just bought a Nuvi 200w, I was wondering where I can find more info on GPS's for example, what is the map formats, how do you add other maps on the GPS, that kind of stuff.

200W - Text to speach??
Hi guys....
Really need some help here as it is driving me nuts.
I have the Garmin 250W which is NOT text to speach capable, my belief is that the 255W was the first 200 series to offer this feature.
I tried to delete POI's and nothing has worked
I loaded the Walmart POI with POI loader directly on my Garmin 200W. I now have the Walmarts listed twice in the Custom list. I deleted the POIs listed on the Garmin unit they were deleted, but when I restarted the Garmin the double Walmarts were still listed. I then also tried deleting the POIs with the POI Mac Beta loader. They are still there. How can I delete these files.
