is the mph data accurate?
I don't see why it wouldn't be, but I was wondering if the mph data is accurate on the Nuvi 660.
In my car, my speedo consistenly reads 3 mph higher. Actually, we have two cars, and it's on the first car where it's 3 mph higher. The 2nd one it's about 0-1 mph higher, i.e. speedo reads higher than GPS.

Help with using Map Source
I live on the East Coast and will be travelling to the West Coast to attend a wedding. I'd like to program my GPS to take me from John Wayne airport to the Hotel and to the Grooms house and then to Burbank airport. I have fiddled with Map Source and am totally flummoxed as to how to set this up.

Nuvi 200 slow screen updates
I've recently noticed that while I'm driving, the screen on my Nuvi 200 updates about 2-3 seconds behind my actual position. That is, if I pass a certain side street, the vehicle icon on the screen isn't shown arriving at that street for another 2 seconds or a little more.

Must haves Florida
Hi to all,
i am form Germany and new in this great forum.
I just bought myself a Garmin 670. I am going to Florida in October and wondering, what would be the most important POIs to be installed on the 670.
By the way, what do you think would be the best places for breakfast with the family in the St. Pete Area?

IQ routes
Garmin ETA is based on your own driving habits.
Garmin has confirmed that:
"We do learn from a driver’s habits and adjust the ETA accordingly. We do this by observing what speed a driver typically drives on each speed category of road and use that to compute ETA."

HELP!
I have added a BP Gas Station Alert to my nuvi 200 10 times and it will not alert me. Am I stupid? Does the nuvi 200 not do this. I am using the POI Loader from Garmin. When I open the Garmin drive, BOOM, there is the alert, it just will not play. Where have I gone wrong?

Garmin Strikes Again
Well folks, I just received my replacement
nuvi 760, after the 4.00 FW fiasco.
Well, this unit has FW ver 3.20 on it.
I don't see any listing on the Garmin website for this version. I did other searches, and found nothing.
I wonder if this is the next version to be released to fix 4.00?

I loaded 22 Custom POI's and can't load number 23
I have a Garmin Nuvi 350. I loaded 22 custom POIS with icons, alerts, etc and now I tried to load number 23. It won't display it on my Garmin under custom pois. I also put in on the card and it sill won't display. If I delete a custom poi then it shows up. Did I reach the limit? I deleted some of the help in foreign languages to free up some room but how many can you have.

POI icons too small to see on Nuvi 880
Hi folks,
I don't know if there is a setup option I'm missing or if this is normal but my POI icons are too small to discern what they represent when the unit is mounted on my windshield and in many cases too small when I'm holding it 6" from my face. Additionally placing a pointer on them to find out what they are is an exacting process. Is this normal?

Speed Alerts for the Garmin Nuvi 660
I'm trying to get speed alerts/warnings for my Garmin Nuvi 660. Recently I was with someone who had a Tom Tom while we were in another state and the speed alerts/warning was definitely a nice touch to keep you in check with the law especially when you are in unknown territory trying to fing your way around.

ETA for nuvis: they do learn a user's habits and adjust ETA
Greetings,
I've seen this discussed a lot in the past but never read this answer before. It now appears that nuvis (at least some models, I guess) do monitor and learn a user's typical speed in the various speed categories of roads travelled, and over time, this training will adjust ETA times and make them more accurate:

Favorites
I saw this subject touched on in another thread but need some clarification. Since my c550 will not create a route to follow when I have several stops to make I have been entering addresses and saving them to Favorites. I then follow successive entries to move through my schedule. Since they are listed in proximity to the current location I have an efficient route to follow.

Garmin GPS and Nikon D90
I just got a Nikon D90 and anticipate purchasing the Nikon GPS accessory, but has anyone heard of a cable that would work with the Garmin eTrex Legend and the camera?

When I load a new custom POI all the others are erased
When I want to add a new custom POI I have to install every custom POI again and set all the proximity alerts each time. What a pain. How can I keep the old custom POI's in my Garmin and then add new ones as I find them without having to do the entire list all over each time? I know it creates a single file in my Garmin.

Address from MapQuest v.s. Address in GPS
Did anybody notice when using the address sent by MapQuest, it did not say "Arriving at Destination on right (left)." - However, the location is very accurate. On the other hand, if using the address from GPS itself, it did say "Arriving at Destination on right (left)." - But the location is not very accurate. Any idea?
I have a Garmin nuvi 200.
Thanks a lot

Update Maps on a Mac from a Nuvi 780
Is there a way to upgrade the base maps in Bobcat using the pre-loaded maps on my 780?
I don't have access to a PC anymore and cannot use that route to upgrade them.
Thanks,
Bill L
