Garmin POI Loader doesn't recognize Red Light/Speed POI (Mac)

I've attempted to download the Red Light/Speed POI and the file shows up in my downloads folder as CSV file.
This is with my Garmin POI Loader open and Garmin #660 synced.
I'm using a Mac if compatibility is the issue.

?

First, make sure that you are using the beta version of POI Loader available at http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/32218 .

Then, when it asks you for your source files, it asks you to point the FOLDER in which the POI files are stored on your computer -- not the file(s). You say it doesn't recognize the file; might you be attempting to highlight the file?

The Fix

... downloaded the files with Firefox instead of Safari and POI Loader was happy with them.

I see that the file was changed today (or re-saved), and the file does not now appear with a double extension when downloaded with Safari. Have you determined yet what program in the file-creation process is causing the double extension to be seen by Safari?
