Updates up to 5.00

I haven't seen any one comment on this yet, but I just received my nuvi 200 back (sent in to get fixed. The one I sent was 4.00 and it looks like there was a 4.10, then 4.40, now 5.00.

They sure do make updates often!

Yep, mentioned already...

Humm...

Interesting. I did not see that thread when I checked my unread posts. O-Well. Thanks for the link!

Version 5.00

I just got mine back from Garmin, touch screen repairs, and it has the latest verison on it. No issues I can see.

Change Log?

Does Garmin post a change log that describes what each firmware version fixes? I've poked around their site and didn't see anything.

Yes

Yes, Garmin does post a change log. WebUpdater can display that for you.

This is the link for the nüvi 2xx change log.

The 2xxW uses a different firmware, so the versions are different. You should be able to find this for other nüvi models also.

Thanks gdfaini - I'm still having trouble poking around the site and finding it on my own, but your link works perfectly.

Does anyone know what "Enhanced compatibility with PC applications" means? What applications?

We're running a 260 and everything from downloading from Google Maps to loading custom POIs with .WAV files works great under version 4.40 and Vista. Just trying to figure out if it's worth doing the update. Sometimes it's better to leave things alone and not fix what isn't broken smile
