Hi all

I noticed when I initially plugged in the unit to the 'puter is started to do an install. I dummed out and clicked the icon to safely remove Hardware the install failed. As I would expect.

Should have held fire.

Now it no longer offers to install software but still connects.

So:

• What was it attempting?
• How do I recover?

just ordered a nuvi 760 for 209.00 with shipping . i am upgrading from my garmin c 330 . anybody out there have any reviews on this unit ? i would love to hear how you like or dislike . thanks glenn

I recently purchased a Garmin 765T to make my weekend trips more interesting, unfortunately I find several roads are not shown on the maps. How can I have them added.???

It looks likely that it will be sold by AT&T, so that leaves me out. We don't have AT&T cell service here and I'm not crazy about SBC anyway. Looks like it will be manufactured by ASUS.

I bought a nuvi 200 on black friday and now I can buy a 200w for $20 more than I paid for the 200. I was thinking about returning the 200 for the 200w. Anyone have an opinion on this?

I have a nuvi 205 and I want to display POI icons on my map has I travel. Say I'm on a trip, I want all gas stations to show up on my map as a get closer to them, currently I have to go to menu and do a near search and I get a list but I don;t like doing that while I'm driving, so is there a way to have the POI icon display on the map as I get close to it.

Hey I am new to this and just got a nuvi 750 and would like to share my location but I don't know how to get my coordinates off of the GPS unit. I can only see the location I am currently at and not my "favorites" that I marked while I was at the location ????

Does anyone have trouble pairing their 265t 265wt. When I pair the phone, it shuts off the gps.

I have a motorola w755. Also, I don't have a "contacts" menu on the gps, so I have to dial my contacts from the phone

I am trying to install City Navigator North America 2008 Map Update to my new computer but I don't see an option to do this. I know it can be done, it's on the old computer but I don't remember how I installed it last year on the old one. The old computer is XP, the new one is Vista.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Accessing custom POIs on Nuvi 780

I have loaded custom POIs created by GeePeeEx as .gpx files but I do not see a menu to use the file. How do I actually run the file?

I discovered that I can have multiple POIs in my nuvi 205W. They are listed as menu choices in the unit when viewing the custom POI screen. I checked around the forums here and don't see this method detailed so here goes:

I'm torn between the nuvi760 and the 265wt. I like the added features of the 760 but the cleaner look of the map screen on the 265wt.

I wish someone will be able to help me with this little problem: When my sister use her Garmin 660 unit the GPS just can't connect on any satellites even after almost an hour on the road. She received some messages asking her "if she went over 100 miles", "if she's using the unit indoor", "reconfirm her position", etc.

Wow, these newer Nuvi's sure inexpensive.

Much more than my Nuvi 360.

Is the technology different in these new units, or did they just make them cheaper?

Do the newer units for $150.00 and less perform as good as the 350 and 360 Nuvi's?
