Transfer Maps

Can you transfer a route from mapquest or google to a Garmin 660 ?

Routes

Fas as I know, you can’t. I’ve tried with my 660 and with my 780 and all it will transfer is the address. I’ve tried to create a route the way I want it, not the way the Nuvi wants it and I've not been able to find a way to transfer that route.
If anyone knows of a way, please let us know.

Transfer Maps

Google Maps does not allow you to transfer routes.

You should be able to transfer routes to a nuvi 660, I believe.

Drag the roads to the route you want. Then right click on the red dots (waypoints) and save them. Then transfer to your nuvi. If you don't save the waypoints the nuvi will just save starting and ending locations and calculate the route as it normally would.

.

The nuvi 660 does not support stored routes.

You can transfer individual points from either Google Maps or MapQuest to that unit.

MapQuest to NUVI works

I was able to successfully save a MapQuest directions map/route to my 755T SD card and import it to my saved routes from the NUVI after it was re-booted.

The waypoints were flagged and yielded alerts when passed. (Used that route today.)

Yes, it works for units that support stored routes. For those that don't have this functionality, it won't work.

Guess I messed up. I was under the impression the 660 was capable of stored routes.

Thanks for clarifying that, MM!
