Display of poi's on garmin etrex

Hello everybody,
I have a question for users of Garmin handheld's (etrex Legend Hcx). Can you selectively display poi's (meaning display a certain poi database) or is it an all or nothing situation?

POI Display on eTrex Legend

I do not know about the Legend Hcx, I have a plain old eTrex Legend no color display and you can send Waypoints, maps, and tracks to the device from Mapsource. The Waypoints can be catagorized and displayed by catagory.

You can select a Custom POI database to display on the eTrex "X" series.
