On the evening of Friday November 23rd I ordered a GPSMAP 64st directly from Garmin because they had a good price. The prompt acknowledgement e-mail said that they would 1) send an e-mail when it shipped and 2) they provided a link to check the status "after a few days". The e-mail hasn't arrived yet.

My Nuvi 2689 Internal Storage is getting full and I am looking for information on which files of the nuvi can be deleted without affecting its operation.
I have already made changes to the following:

Hi, it's been a while since I was here.. Just moved back to NCfrom FL.... MY GPS 2598LMTHD seems to be slow when telling me to make a change, i.e. Make left turn.. It's at the 300 ft mark when it tells me.. Please advise

I have two 3490LMTs. I recently updated both (using Garmin Express) with the latest map update (2019.30). Updates were done back-to-back with no issues or errors and I've used Garmin Express in the past (on the same laptop) to update both units without issue.

Garmin began rolling out Garmin Express v6.10.0 today.

If you would like to update to the latest version, please visit the About page within the Settings of the Express application and select “Check for Updates to Express.”

I’ve been working with a Garmin Nuvi 5000 for about 7 - 8 years

In that time I have been able to create routable maps and us them for navigational in rural area of the U.S.

The system has been working fine up to last month. Sometime around the 20th of October, the maps started failing to unlock upon device initialization.

I'm not sure these are great deals but BJ's has the "Garmin Drivesmart or Drive 51 LMT-S with friction mount, lifetime maps and traffic" (their choice of words) coupled with a clipless coupon deal good from 11/26/18 to 12/24/18. One device, I assume the less expensive of the two is $150 less a $30 coupon or $120. The other device is $200 less a $50 coupon for $150 net.

I have a Garmin 2597 LMT which has worked great until about a month ago.

HI All. I have a 3590 and downloaded 2019.30 and all was OK. I then tried to load the large JCV file and got a message that there was not enough room.

So I deleted the small JCV file and STILL got a msg that there was not enough room.

Oddly, when I tried to reload the small JCV files, I was still getting the same "not enough room" message.

I am trying to create an alert for a Custom POi file,

I have created the Poi file for Rest Areas- (Rest Area.csv)
I have the icon for the Rest Area ( Rest Area.bmp)

I have created a wave file for "Rest Area Ahead - no services"

Is there anyway to create an alert using this wave file (Rest Area.wav)when approaching the rest area location?

Anyone seen any good GPS deals advertised yet

I’m going through the video tutorials but before I dive
into base camp I have one question. I’m using a garmin gps 64and I want
to use this for my hunting and fishing. Some of the places I go have new
roads and sometimes I travel the same roads to get to new areas. Will I be
able to converge my 12 trips into an the same area into one file which I can view on

Once a month or so we do a shopping trip... to an Aldi, a Sam's Club, and usually a Book Store for wife....
Was wondering.... What I do now is: after arriving at first destination, call up a new one, and then a second one, making it be a "VIA" instead of destination....

Is there a way of Saving a link of 2 destinations in series? Or more?

is there anyone who has the experience to tell me why i coulnd't get the pOI Alert working in my GPSMAP 276cx. the same file has been added to the Nuvi 3597 and working fine.

Haven't been active in a while as been using the smartphone but I am looking to replace an older Garmin unit and looking for the best unit with traffic that don't need a smartphone to provide it per the preference of who will be using it.
Was looking at a Refurbished DriveSmart 51 LMT-S but see needs the smartphone app.

DriveSmart 61 firmware updated to version 4.40 as of November 13, 2018.

Fixed an issue that caused wireless map updates to fail.

I had a 1490 and I could edit POIs & waypoints on the screen.
I transferred my userdata.gpx and current.gpx file to my 3597.
I can add a waypoint but I can't edit the address or the name. I copied the above files to my computer and edited them then copied back and overwrote the ones on the unit. It still shows the same data even though the files have the correct info.
