An update to the Garmin Smartphone Link for Android is now available from Google Play.
Is there a page somewhere that explains what was updated?
"We have further improved the stability of the app. Enjoy your drive!"
No details. Haven't been able to find any other page with information.
The new Android version is 2.9.7. The iOS version (released 2 months ago) is 2.9.6, which had new improved maps and fixes for Foursquare and in-app purchases.
Thank you for the info to update this link.
Not sure if anyone is tracking this, but since the last update my Smartlink app has been flawless between the GPS and the iPhone. Now that I'm learning more about Basecamp and actually getting pretty excited about all this.
I noticed around the time of the mid-early January 2019 update that the Smartphone Link app would no longer exit automatically when Bluetooth was turned off. Rather than reboot your phone, you can open the app via the notification bar, then locate and tap the red square at the bottom left of the app. This poorly documented "Stop" button will change to a right-pointing triangle (or "Play" button) and the app will now close upon exit.
