WOW, I WISH THERE WAS A GPS SYSTEM THAT TOOK INTO CONSIDERATION TRAFFIC LIGHTS, I CAN'T BELIEVE SOME OF THE WAYS MY GPS WANTS TO TAKE ME, TO PUT ME ON THE HIGHWAY IT WANTS TO TAKE ME ON A ROUTE THAT HAS MANY LONG TRAFFIC LIGHTS THAT INCREASES MY TRAVEL TIME BY QUITE A BIT, ANYBODY HAVE ANY IDEAS ON THIS

I have Garmin 750, how can I get speed limits displayed in canada, it displays while I drives in USA.

Ok my friends, I am tired of researching all the models and features out there and am ready to buy my new gps this weekend.. but I could use a little "push" from some of you. my choices either the 760 ( like the black color as opposed to the silver on the 750 ) or the 755T. does anyone know if the 760 has hotfix for faster satellite acquisition.

Truckers, if you have been looking for that GPS to help you with commercial routes, it has arrived. Garmin announced this week the release of their nwe "long haul" gps unit. The Nuvi 465T features the NTTS Directory, ability to set truck specs, life time traffic subscription and lane assist. All for $499. Hooray, I'm trading in my Nuvi 850.

As a general driving around setting, what would you recommend, Faster Time or Shorter Distance? It seems that the default Route Preference is Faster Time.

I have a nuvi 680 and i am wondering if there is a way to have it display compass headings in Degrees for example if true north is 0° and i wanted to go say 165° . hope i explaind that well enough for someone to give me a answer .

I have a Garmin 205W I created and loaded some custom POI's. If I'm driving with the view map selected I can see the icon I made in my custom POI file, very nice but if I have my Garmin navigate me to a address I can not see the custom POI's.

Is there a way to see them or did I create the POI file wrong or is my garmin so focued on the address that it forgets I'm passing a custom POI?

I loaded a custom image that will display (splash screen) after the Garmin start up screen.

Is there any way to load a custom image that will display when the GPS first starts up.

Looks like Garmin has released a new model just for truckers. Might not be bad for RV'ers as well.

Hello, all you people who know what you're doing. We bought the 880 a few months ago (turns our we adopted an orphan, but that's the way it goes.) Up until a week ago, the nice lady would tell us the name of the street we were to turn on. Now that has changed and she just says things like turn left in 300 feet.

Just got back from a two week cruise. While on the cruise I liked to check the ship's location with my NUVI 350.

On the second day out I accidentally dropped the NUVI on the deck. When I first tried to turn it on all I got was a white screen.

Ok. I am new to this. I downloaded a POI file -walmart stores- then wanted another file - mouth-watering barbecue places - but the second file replaced the first in the Extra folder on the Garmin.
I thought you can have more than one POI file on the device. Am I wrong?
Can you have multiple POI files downloaded?

Does anyone who how to do this, as i dont see it anywhere on your profile, to delete a product, as i have just sold my old unit and got a new one,

I have seen a lot of people posting that they would like a GPS unit designed exclusively for over the road long-haul navigation and delivery trucks.

Sounds like it would be very good for large RV unit owners also.

I don't seem to be getting traffic alerts with my 760 and MSN Traffic any more. I use it every day during my commute in Chicago and I used to get a warning EVERY SINGLE DAY during rush hour going home of an average delay of 10 minutes or so. When there was an accident or something significant, the delay notice would be 20-30 minutes or more.
