I did everything I have learned from this Forum about loading icon into my GPS (Garmin 255W) with no success.
Change the name of icon to match the POI file name. Check for double extension and/or extra ., set the file size to 20x20 and mode to 256 color index 8 bits file.
the bmp and csv files are in the same folder with exact same name except the extension.

After my nuvi 660 updated to bluetooth ver. 3.40 the unit screen locks totally.I have to turn off the gps and then start the unit and then enable bluetooth again but it wont connect to the phone again after that update.
I have a Sonyericsson C905 and it workd fine before the uppdate.I allso tryed with Sonyericsson K750 and K800.
Plz i need some help.

I tried loading some POI's for the first time on my new 1490, but they're not showing up in the Custom POI list. The POI's were downloaded from this site and are .csv files that I put into a specific folder. Using Garmin POI Loader, I went through the install process, selecting the folder where the csv files are at, and completing the installation process with no error messages.

Will the latest Garmin maps work on an old Nuvi 200?

I have a Nuvi 1350T with a 4gb SD Card. When I originally moved most of my POIs to the Card all of the Icons associated with the files would appear on my nuvi. As I have updated the POI files and removed the associated file on the nuvi and then used POI Loader to install the updated file on the nuvi onto the SD Card I have lost the Icons.

Is it possible to delete just one or two custom POI's or do you have to delete the whole batch?

Garmin has released Mapsource version 6.16.0.2 Beta for download. Changes log reads:

Change made from version 6.15.11 to 6.16.0.2:

* Fixed memory issues and crashes when running MapSource under Windows 7.
* Map projection for many map products was improved. The projection angle is now based on the extents of the map product.

how much data does the mileage report hold before the unit ovwewrites the mileage .csv file?

How do you change the side bar info list tothe bar at the bttm of the screen.

I was wondering if the Garmin Nuvi 1350T is capable of having a More Info button in the regular view of the map. Right now I have to click on the map for a top down view like below to get the More Info link to appear.

Just wondering if it's worthwhile to report obvious routing errors? If so, to whom do we report them too and has anyone ever seen a fix put out for them?

Hi all,

Just bought a Nuvi265w on the weekend. Did the registration part, the Webupdate part, and all that. So, I qualify for a free map update to 2010.40. I downloaded it twice, and it will sit on "0% Extracting" forever. I even left it overnight, and it still won't unpack.

I'm running XPhome SP2 and I don't have issues with having the device show up as a drive or anything.

Hey whats up everyone? I just got a 765t and was wondering how I check what maps are available for upgrade? I can't seem to find release dates or versions of the maps as I'm trying to wait until the next update to do it if I can fit it in. Can anyone fill me in on the current version? and where to find that info?thanks!

Does anyone know if weather radar will ever be available on the StreetPilot 7200?

Has anybody used the center Proclip for the Nuvi 760 in a CR-V 2008?
I have used Proclip before but in the pics it looks like the unit is partially obscured by the steering wheel.

Hi everyone,

I have the Nuvi 755t and using MapSource version 6.15.11 to create a route. I use MapSource and uploaded that route successfully into the 755T.

When I turned on the 755T select Where To->Custom Routes, I do not see the route I uploaded.

I know that the Nuvi 755t can support 1 route.

From the March 10 Beacon News newspaper for Aurora, IL:

AURORA -- A thief stole a Garmin GPS unit and a Bluetooth earpiece from a car on Aurora's far East Side Tuesday — but left the keys in the ignition of the vehicle, and a warning note to the owner.

The theft occurred between 4:30 and 5:45 a.m. Tuesday on the 2900 block of Coastal Drive, Aurora police said.

does the 255w do that much more then the old c330

Have been here for a while. I had a 760. Loved it. Well about 2 months ago I woke up and my window was shattered and my Nuvi was ripped out of the truck. So I am out the deductible and insurance would not cover the coast of the Nuvi. Sigh.

I just bought a Nuvi 1350 from Amazon.com, and I read a review about them on gpstracklog.com, and it posed an interesting and quite useful feature that I have seen on older Mio devices.
