Just a quick question.
I have installed a garmin 526S in the field for depth surveys of a little harbour in Congo (development cooperation project). People there know how to operate the gps, but not how to transfer to PC or to create gpx files with their tracks.
They propose to send me the userdata folder by e-mail. I have mapsource on my computer in Brussels.
Would this work ? I just copy the userdata folder to a SD-card and try to read it from my mapsource ? I'm afraid SD-card needs to be pre-programmed by the GPS unit somehow ? What does this pre-programming consist of ? just folder creations (could do) or putting a key somewhere ?
