Problem with POI Loader in W7
I recently moved from PC w/ XP to PC w/Windows 7.
I d/l Poiloader and attempted to update the POIs in my 680.
I followed the instructions in this post: http://www.poi-factory.com/node/85.
Poiloader freezes at the update step. I researched this site and googled it. No luck.

I have been running on Windows 7 32bit and 64bit with no issues. If you have multiple POI files, perhaps trying them one at a time and see if there is a problem with a particular one?
...
Good to know as I'll be getting a new desktop with Windows 7.

Yes, it works. One note, after any update to the garmin, do a reset to reload maps, etc. or the next time you try to connect to Windows 7, it won't recognize your unit. It use the .XML file for all verification of changes. When you reset, it recreates the .XML file again with the changes and updates.
Haven't had any problems

I am using the same setup on my XP PC with no problems. Being doing this for about a year so I don't think the process is wrong or any corrupt POI files exist.
I re-installed POI to no effect.
