Garmin talk

Which one now? My 765T is busted and I'm toying with getting the 2350 or the 2360. I don't need blue tooth in any event. What I didn't find in here was how well the dual-orientation and Voice-activated navigation works on the 2360. Just wondering if the extra $40 or so is worth it?

Ii have a GPX file created by EPE. (Great Product). Every time I try to load it POILoader errors off. Mapsource does too. No indication of what the error is. Anyone have any ideas? There are only 70 records in the file.

Hi- Probably a dumb question! How can I get Garmins POI Loader 2.6.1.0 to remember the Distance settings when I use it in Manual mode - so I don't have to input the whole lot again next time I use it. Please make it simple!

After a recent update many of my favorites on my Garmin 1350LMT are being displayed in a number format like 123.1. When I click on the "123.1" I see one of my favorites. I contacted Garmin and they simply told me to delete the numbers in my favorites. The problem with that is that this also deletes my favorites.

Does anyone know what a .sum file is? I have a couple of voices (when looking at my unit with a usb on the computer) that have two type extentions. Like English_American_.vpm and english_american_.sum
I have no idea what I did to accomplish this feat. The question can/should I delete the .sum versions? Most of all the other voices have only .vpm

I have a Garmin nuvi 255W. It pretty much does what I want to, because I don't have a daily commute, I live in a suburban area, and the traffic is light for the most part. I do travel occasionally for vacations, but that's it. A voice model and the POI's are most valuable to me.

Does anyone know if it is possible to enlarge or how to get larger icons for a Garmin Nuvi 750? Even at full zoom, you can hardly see them.

I've got an issue I can't seem to find an answer to browsing the forums. Question....Do the vehicles have to be on the garmin devise itself to work? I't seem I'm out of room. I've added all the vehicles to my SD card but my unit doen't seem to find them. It only shows the 8 or 10 I've got on the devise itself. I have a Nuvi260W. I simply unziped the file and copied them to the sd card.

Is there some kind of Mod available that will make this Garmin 265WT to give you sound beep alert (As most of Tomtom unit does) when you drive over the specified speed limit?

I have a 760 that suddenly will not power up. It was on, I turned off the ignition, and received the countdown message before turning off. I was just going into a store, so I touched the button to keep it turned on.

I hope this is not adding a new thread to one that has already started. Does anyone understand why the new 4G that cell phones use can conflict with GPS operation? Or for that matter does it mess with GPS reception at all. I have been reading about it, but don't understand it

I just got a 1450 for a friend, and updated the maps for him. I have a 1490T. I noticed that the update was only for US and Canada, and did not include Mexico. That is not a problem, but I was curious, as my 1490T includes Mexico. Was this because I didn't delete enough voices before the update to include Mexico, or would it not have been there regardless?

The red light camera alerts, visual & audible, on my 660 work as expected. I should say worked as expected. The alerts work fine except if I'm using the media player. It used to be that the music stopped, the audible was played and then the music resumed. Now, the music stops, no audible alert and then the music resumes but on the next track.

Scratching my head.

Has anyone notice that when you set a location on your gps and drive to that location you find that the location is off since the Japan earthquake happen.

I've loaded Rest Stops Combined into my Nuvi1350 and I can't figure out how to turn on proximity alerts. Can someone please help.

What exactly is the purpose of Tour Guides? Is it to create a larger area for alerts? I have a nuvi 255W, is it possible to create a Tour Guide or something that will take us on a tour, so to speak? If so, how does that work?

This is fun, I'm going to be hooked pretty soon!

Where can I find "harley davidson dealers usa" as a csv file for a zumo 550?
POI Factory has them only as a gpx file or how can a gpx be changed to a csv file?
A gpx files will only download to "favorites". I'd like them as either "extras" or "proximity points".
