Red Alert Bar

I was reading Gary Hayman's articles on creating custom poi's. He has a screenshot of the gps unit that shows a red bar instead of a green bar at the top of the screen. I have written a few different poi"s w/proximity alerts, but I do not get a red bar on any one of them. Does anyone know if the red bar is model specifc? The reason I ask is because I would like to have some of my proximity alerts to be silent and if I cannot display a red bar, then it is pointless for me. By the way, I have a nuvi 205w. Thanks for any thoughts.

Yes, it is model specific. My 200W has the red banner bar. My roommate's 255W and my copy of Garmin Mobile XT displays alerts in a gray box.

I is model specific, but i think the 205 shuld have a red banner if it is a speed alert.
My experience
It displays in grey if you're not speeding. If you are over the speed limit, then the bar is red.
In other words, we should be wary of Gary, cuz he's taking screenshots AND speeding at the same time
Just kidding there, by the way - Gary has an amazing website. He doesn't have a Miss POI, but then again, Gary is a member of THIS crowd. And therefore an even better person for it !

Thanks. I don't even get it when I am traveling abve the speed limit, lol. I interpreted that it was for any proximity alert, so i guess my model doesn't have that capability. But it works great anyway, thanks to you and the others who replied.

This may be a stupid question, did you actually load any speed limit POIs and radar POI ?
