Anybody else buy a nuvi 1350LMT and find that it barely has any room to put more files to its memory?

Hi- I have been searching threads and can't find the answer to this one. I did the update and on the maps screen info it still shows ""CN North America NT 2012.10" It is just the lower 49 SE states. Now I have another listing for the new update. Is here going to be another "CN North America" for every update that comes out? I thought it would overwrite it. Thanks!

On my 3790LMT, PhotoReal Junction Views are displayed as split screen for 2012.20 North America maps.

Are they displayed as split screen or full screen for the 2012.20 Europe maps on the 3790LMT?

I'm new to POI Factory and I was wondering if multiple duplicate POIs are created when you add custom POI files from POI factory? I've not yet downloaded and installed one of these to my 2460LMT because my concern is that when I search for a POI I will see duplicates of a bunch of them (WalMart, Subway, Target, etc.). Is this the case and is there a way to prevent duplicates?

Falagar on Garmin's Forums reported today that there will be no further releases of Mapsource.

If you are unhappy with Garmin and are looking for a new gps then please keep in mind that you can always buy a used smartphone and use it as a "smart device" without having to purchase an expensive data plan.

Why do some of my waypoints clone themselves? I delete the duplicates but eventually I go in and find "Joe's" and "Joe's 1" and "Joe's 2". Some of the offenders duplicate once, some twice and some three times. Not all of my waypoints do this. Anybody else experience this?

Because it always uses battery power (even when "OFF") my Nuvi 855 often needs charging. I've noticed that it will only charge some of the time when it is receiving external power and the battery has a partial charge. Why doesn't it charge all of the time?

What has happened to the once best GPS maker on the planet? Where did the wheels fall off for you? I ask because for years I was a Garmin devotee (330, 530, 750 and 1490) and I am feeling cheated these days.

Power went out during map update and now Garmin Lifetime Updater says I don't have enough space to install the update. Should I move the .img files to my computer and try again?

Instead of Mapsource saving to the Garmin Nuvi device, can it save the files on the SDHC card or on the computer (then can copy to the SDHC card) ?

Question, supposedly if you purchase a used Garmin GPS that has the lifetime map updates the new owner will also have the ability to get those updates also? Is this true as all the sellers are saying this. I know I can call Garmin Monday but thought I would ask here first.

I just downloaded a bunch of POI files from this site and I noticed that only the first 3 columns (longitude, latitude, POI name) shows on the display. The 4th column (POI address & other info) does not display on my Garmin 255wt.

Why is this? I know that this info showed up in my old Garmin 350, before it got stolen.

What can I do to make it show up on the display?

I could use from feedback on this new Garmin map updater. I have a 1490LMT and ever since I downloaded that updater and try to get an update it always comes back with "Garmin servers are currently experiencing difficulty. Please try again later".

My Nuvi 660 is over 4 years old and has served me very well, but it is getting sick. It's time to replace the battery, and it stalls at times. Can anyone suggest an equal replacement GPS? There are so many units out there with many different options, it's hard to know what's good.

Hello all. I'm a newbee to this forum, but it looks interesting. I'd like to use my Nuvi 660 as a GPS sensor for a vehicle data acquisition sensor. Can anyone suggest how I might extract Lat/Lon or other info via the USB connection? Thanks.

Installed above file in "My POI" folder on Win7 desktop.

Deleted at later date but my Garmin Nuvi 680 still beeps out a rest area location in the Santa Ana area of Los Angeles.

I inspected the folder, no file.
I did a search thru windows explorer, no file.

Comments are appreciated.

I've loaded the poi's to my Nuvi 1490 and they do not show when I look for them.

Tried latest update (I have lifetime updates)and it wouldn't let me install on my c530...not enough room. Every smaller option or zone came up with the same message. I am using windows 7 64 bit.
In the past I loaded one of the smaller zones onto my c530, and then the rest of the map onto my SD card.

I will call Garmin on Monday. This is not acceptable.
