When I lost my 465t in a fire, I decided to get the Dezl. Luckily, I had a fairly recent backup of my Favorites which I was able to copy to the Dezl. This file - current.gpx - was 2.5 MB when I copied it over.

Anyone exited about the new Garmins that are about to come out?

Garmin and INRIX just inked a deal to put the best, by far,traffic data using digital radio on some new Gamins. At least the Diesel models!

If you have an Android device, INRIX has a free app in the market. It will amaze you, much better than Google's traffic! And totally destroys what Garmin uses now!

When I try to run the program, the COM/USB portion tells me it can't find the device. I've tried Auto-Detect, the com ports, changed baud rate etc.

I can "see" the GPS from the PC no problem.

What am I missing?

I just got a new Garmin 1490LMT, and did some research on how I can utilize all the features on this toy. All I did so far is adding a micro-sd and updating the map lol.

What are some modifications/improvements is there for the Garmin GPS.

Here is an odd one I can't find the answer to...

I have a Garmin City Navigator Europe NT Micro SD card. Works perfectly well in my Zumo and Nuvi. I have been trying to use it in my eTrex HCx and cannot get any detail when zooming into Europe while it is installed.

Hoping someone can assist as I am having trouble with my new Nuvi 3580LTM.

A couple of years ago I bought myself, my daughter, and my sister Nuvi 1450's with lifetime maps. Whenever a new map gets released, I udate all three 1450's and everything is (was) wonderful. I didn't actually take the other two out on the road after an update, I just assumed that their 1450's continued as well as mine.

I have a Garmin Nuvi 200 that the usb connector broke off. So I was thinking of connecting an old usb cable to the battery connector. The battery has a red, green and black wire. After cutting off the male (small) end of my usb cable I see it has a red, green, black and white wire. I'm never going to connect to my pc again so what the heck.

I have a bunch of duplicate waypoints on Basecamp part of them have no position, it comes up as 0,0. I don't seem to have them on the Nuvi 3790, only when connected to Basecamp. I've tried to delete them but they don't stay deleted, then Basecamp fails and I have to re open it. They are back when I do. I could go thru and use copy paste and change each one but there are to many for that.

When I turned my 2595lmt on this morning, there was a white line across the middle. I did a hard reset but it is still there. Has anyone else had this problem? I am thinking this is a screen issue and I need to call Garmin Monday. Thanks for your replies.

Just the other day, in the UK, Garmin started the switch BACK to using INRIX as its traffic supplier (Source: http://www.inrixtraffic.com/blog/2012/garmin-with-live-inrix...). The article contains this interesting quote: "The UK will be the first market where Garmin will introduce the new technology."

The answer is probably no but just in case someone has found a way to add poi groups to a car nav system, it would be nice to know. I'd like to get the nav system in my new car to be as flexible/useful as my Garmin is. Thanks

Greetings Fellow Members: I am trying to mod, add, convert Streetpilot C330 RGN voice file into nuvi 1490LMT version extention.Is there a software tool for its conversion.I would like to replace it with the present files for lmt1490.Some day all the marbles logged in their vocal speech will be released and pronounciation will be a dreram come true.

OK, if you install a fox.exe into the poi loader, with the idea to add wav sound to your poi folder, yes this work perfect.....BUT if you want to add Mp3 music to your older garmin 350 (Note the 350 is compatible with mp3). Do you have to remove the Fox.exe from the poi loader before install the mp3 o is OK.?????

New to Garmin , had a Tom Tom before.
Using a Garmin 2555lm using Poi loader.
Very happy with it so far.
My question is this :The folder where I have the Poi, BMP and MP3 files.
When adding a new POI and associated files should the previously installed POI files be in the folder?
Which would mean installing in manual mode for alerts etc for all previously installed POIs.

When I do a search for locations..the mileage that is listed next to each location's name is not the total mileage to get there from my current location(its always less).. What is the mileage number actually referring to?

Does anyone know of a good poi file for rest stops on the NYS Thruway from NYC to Buffalo? It should signal a rest stop about 1/4 mile ahead.
