3790lmt or 2595lmt Help me - Buying Suggestions Please!!

My old Nuvi 265wt died. Now I am faced with buying another Garmin. But I need some help - I have kind of ended up with a choice of two and need some Pros and Cons from you guys.

I am looking at either the newer 2595lmt or the little older 3790lmt. I believe the 2595lmt has 3D traffic and the 3790lmt has the older traffic updates. I like the size of the 3790 - the 2595 looks a bit bigger and weighs a bit more. But not sold on either one.

I need to make up my mind by ASAP and buy it while on sale. Can you please give me some suggestions - maybe from current users. Thanks for your help!!

I prefer the bigger screen

My choice between the two would be the 2595, Larger screen. The audiobook player could be a nice bonus too.

Garmin Nuvi 2450

currently am using the 3790LMT

I have owner a number of high end Garmin units and currently am using the 3790LMT. I have owned it since April of this year and bought it through the Walmart website for around $150.

Without any equivocation I would say the 3790 is the best Garmin I have owned to date. The screen is extremely clear and easy to read even with the top down and heads and shoulders above the other units I have used. I have had built in units with up to 7" screens and this unit is easier to read, more pixels beats size every time. The speaker is very clear with a larger one built into the cradle that is used when mounted in it and even on the freeway I could clearly here and be heard using the bluetooth interface with my Droid X.

The Navteq traffic service works great in the Tucson and Phoenix area where I have used it to date.

For me the 2595lmt

The 2595lmt has some new features that 3790 hasn't as well as all the features of the 3790, apart from my trends and that never worked for me, so for me its the 2595lmt.

I have both

the 3790LMT and the 2595LMT. The 3790 is the best for clarity, also the extra speaker in the holder make it easy to hear better the instruction that Jill is giving. It also has 3D building and terrain. The touch screen is more smooth to the finger than the 2595. The only different between the two is that the 3790 has 3D building and terrain. The 3790LMT has a glass screen.

.

I bought a 2595 back in August and chose it over a 3590 because it met most of my needs. I am very happy with it and how it works with my Nexus smartphone.

Differences for 2595 - Much better Where To with custom shortcuts, Guidance 2.0, Digital 3D traffic (in U.S., not available in Canada), Smartphone Link ( Android app), manual dual-orientation, need to purchase $100 ecoRoute HD to get ecoRoute functions.

Differences for 3790 - powered mount, glass screen with multitouch and extra pixels, 3D buildings and terrain, myTrends, basic ecoRoute is free

I have had a 2595LMT since February

I have had a 2595LMT since February. It has been a good unit. I upgraded from a 255W which I was also very happy with. It is -much- faster in Satellite acquisition and route calculations than the 255. The big screen is nice. It was a little buggy and had lots of operating glitches (crashes, etc.) at first, but these were all due to Garmin firmware faults (with some new ones introduced with subsequent updates). All of them seem to be gone now (fixed) after the latest firmware update. It's a lot of navigator for the price.

Have had my 3790 for a year and I think its great.
As for the trends, I currently have to go from my home to the same location three times a week. Just recently I have noticed that as soon as I turn the GPS on, it tells me the time it will take to get home again and that there is no traffic on that trip.
