favorites from 2460 to 3590

Copied current.gpx file from 2460 to 3590. Renamed 3490 current file but nothing changed, still what the 3590 came with. Didn't load my catagories and of course any of my stuff, not even the whole group in saved tab.
What did I do wrong
rename the source file.
In other words, copy off current.gpx from your 2460, then rename it to something like temp.gpx before you copy it into the 3590. It will import/merge with the existing entries on your 3590. Once this has completed successfully, delete temp.gpx from the 3590

Datetime stamp

What did I do wrong
On my 765, if the datetime stamp of a current.gpx file is newer than the datetime that the device created the its last current.gpx, that newer current.gpx file will be read.
Also, as indicated above, a file named current1.gpx should work.

Messed up Favorites
if you have the problem getting rid of bad entries in Favorites that I had, you read my last entry in the following discussion. I had real problems.
