Anyone know how much internal memory (2-4-8gb)this unit has? Other posts don't list this units or memory. Appears to be a good unit in reviews.

It will be
It will be at least 4GB but is more likely 8. It's pretty much the same unit as the 3790 which has 8GB.
Nuvi 350, 760, 1695LM, 3790LMT, 2460LMT, 3597LMTHD, DriveLuxe 50LMTHD, DriveSmart 61, Garmin Drive 52, Garmin Backup Camera 40 and TomTom XXL540s.
Probably 8GB
It looks to be 8GB from this post:

Note: The 3490 replaced the 3790 which shows 8GB(usually a bit less), Gar
min shows the 3490 as 7GB,
which I believe will be more. Eiher way that is ssufficient storage to have.
Edit: CriagW types faster than me.

3590 Capacity
I just plugged mine in. Windows reports a capacity of 7,826,690,048 bytes (7.28 GB)
That
That what Garmin will call 8GB.

Memory Size Differences

My 2460LMT rated at 8GB shows 7.31 (7,849,738,240).
I suppose the slight difference from the 3590 to the 2460 is due to what is in the units hidden memory.
Just like when you buy a hard drive, the space is always less then what the manufacturer claims.

GPS memory
Well, its a far cry from my first Garmin, a GPSIII+ onto which I could load just a few counties (unless they were very large).
Later on, on an upgrade, I chose the 76cs over a 60cs because the 76 included a 128mb card, whereas the 60 came with, I think, a 96mb card.
Exactly

My 3590lmt has exactly the same number of bytes!
