any body know a good place online to purchase a new gps.

I've read until my eyes are crossed and still don't know if it's possible to set a different mp3 alert for each waypoint in a csv or gpx file. I'm trying to create a list of POIs so that when a newspaper carrier approaches the coordinates (of an address) my MP3 capable Garmin (295w) alerts and says, for example, "You've reached 113 Terrier Way" Is this possible?

The first couple of times I used the 2597 it didn't do what it did yesterday and I was on the same street that I was on the time before yesterday's little flub. I wasn't navigating so it was showing me the upcoming cross streets.

I just download about 100 files using the Garmin Loader program. On the computer, I sorted them by those I will use most frequently. Apparently the loader over rode my sort and put them down in alphbetical order which really messes up the order for my use. Example: To find the nearest Walmart, I don't want to go through 22 pages to get to the W's.

I have a 885 and for the past two months it takes sometimes up to 20 min for my unit to connect to the satellites, I'm not near any trees or buildings I;m in the open. Is there anything I can do for this?

Can anybody tell me what is the best Garmin out there, I'm looking to replace my old one?

I guess it is no secret that I am no longer a Garmin user so I was unable to answer this question from a friend...yes, I told him to sign up for poi-factory and jump on in but...

When viewing the overhead view, does anyone know the method to rotate the map versus just zoom. Pinch to zoom seems to work, but the standard touchscreen method of rotating doesn't work. Instead every once in a while it senses my touch as a rotate.

Does anyone have a complete list of Hess Gas stations on the East coast?

I have done several searches and have not found the info I am looking for. I have a Zumo 660 that came with my 2013 Can-am Spyder. On it has a Spyder dealer list. It has its' own icon and is a menu item under "Where To?". The problem with this list is it is grossly out of date. From what I can tell it is from 2009.

I have the Garmin Nuvi 2497LMT and an iPhone 4. I installed the Smart Link app on my iPhone which syncs to my Nuvi and works with the free features. Is it worth paying $19.99 for the Live Traffic feature?

I have downloaded the Combine Rest Areas through POI Loader to my Garmin nuvi 50LM. I can access them by navigating to Extras, Custom POIs, but they do not show up on my map. I also downloaded a custom icon and sound file, giving them the same name as the POI file, and they don't work either. I have tried removing and reinstalling, and have tinkered with it until...well, until I give up.

I have a Garmin that also show traffic and speed limit,but I notice that on some area if the speed limit on the road drop from 35 mph to 25 mph,the Gps it still show me that the speed limit at the specific area( is still 35mph instead of 25mph.( and this is about 1 mile speed limit 25 road )

I have two Garmins, 750 and 760. Lately, the location has been off about half the time by as much as 3,000 ft, while the satellite signal screen claims less than 30 ft accuracy.

I got the coordinates and the location as shown on the map. The map matches the coordinates, but way off from where I actually was. So the problem is the coordinates. Not the map.

Do any of the car manufacturers install a Garmin Nav unit that is actually able to be updated with LM and POIs just like a portable unit?

My 2597 is my first model with traffic and if my question is covered in the manual I can't find it. Does it make any difference in reception depending on how much of the power cable you have stretched out? I only need about half of the power cable and have the other half of the cable still wrapped around the base of the GPS.

How do I add speed camera data to an older Garmin manually?

Anyone here have any experience using the 2597's bluetooth's function with a cell phone? I understand the advantage is that if you look up a restaurant you can click on the number and call it without typing it into your phone. Does it also act as a handsfree system?
