Does the BC 20 work with the Garmin 3597LTMHD? If so, how do I set it up? And if it is not currently supported, does anyone know if or when it will be?

Sorry, but the BC 20 page (Compatible Devices tab):

shows that only the dezl 760, nuvi 2798 and RV 760 are compatible with the camera.
I expect that your 3597 came only with a Quickstart Guide. You may want to download the Owners Manual for more info:
