Garmin talk

Hi,
Im new to the site and could do with some help. Im trying to put the 2014 Full coverage European maps onto my PC to use with Basecamp, but when I get to the end of the process where I choose where to put the file, Express is showing G:\Garmin in light lettering in the selection box,and the browse button doesn't operate.

I downloaded and installed Garmin Express yesterday to be able to update to City Navigator 2014.40.

Just now I checked for an update and saw that yesterday's version (2.3.18.0) had an update available to 2.4.5.0.

The one difference I see in the Settings Options of this latest version is a new check box allowing for auto updates of Garmin Express.

Good Afternoon I hope I am not asking a question that has been asked before in another forum. I am new to POI Factory. I would like to know if there is any type of APP or software that I can put on my Garmin to locate or track a GPS if it is stolen. Please let me know.

I have a Garmin nuvi2797LTM (great navigator.)
I want to edit the map themes to make them more readable.
I want to change route colours some background colours etc.

I have a Garmin dezl560 LMT. It's been updated (with the latest 2013, not 2014 yet) and uses the TruckDown data as well as Garmins Trucking POI category.

Well, I went and bought a brand new Garmin 3597LMTHD and have had it for over a week now.

Bought it from Newegg for 299 USD w/no S&H charges. It did not come directly from Newegg. Probably could have found a better price, but I have dealt many times with Newegg before and have never had any problems.

Anyone else having problems with Classic or New Google maps?

No send to GPS option available.

Well, 2014.40 is out as reported elsewhere. Here's some info:

GarminMapUpdater: The current Windows version remains 3.2.2 but it doesn't recognize that my nuvi 2460 is LMT so it offers to sell me a map update.

Ugh, I'm now updating with Garmin Express, which I had to install. It's now updating my 2460 and computer and we'll see what comes of it. I'll report back with results.

Downloading now, to my 2597. Using Garmin Express, why is it downloading two versions? "Full Coverage of North America" and "nuMaps Lifetime North America". Maybe because the unit is less than 90 days and is getting the allowed Freebie and the Lifetime at the same time?

Ya gotta love some of the Garmin pronunciations.

i'VE SEEN gps's where all restaurants, banks, etc show up as icons. It happened once on my Nuvi 1490L Mt... but then it went away within a few minutes....
How do I get these buggers on my gps? According to this website, you have to pick and choose.... not what i'M LOOking for. And I'm too old to try and figure this out.
Any help would be appreciated.

Just purchased the 2797 , does anyone know how to install a sound clip for a red light camera.

Is my 350 a USB 3.0 device? i just found out my new lap top has a SS USB 3.0 port, i'll use that port next time to speed map up loads if thats the case?

I bought my wife a Garmin Nuvi 500. While it works pretty well, she sometimes gets frustrated with it because it can take a minute or two to power up, acquite GPS signal, find a location, from a cold start.

Is it possible to "trick" this unit into accepting 3D views?

Any hacks for putting USB on a III+?

I've looked, perhaps not diligently. I know how to load a map update to the SD card. My question is, After installing a map update, how can you install that map update to the Unit from the SD card?

I thought (1st mistake) that you could edit a CSV in Extra_POI_Editor. No matter which POI I try to open in Extra_POI_Editor I get

These are POI's which are uploaded and working, and not just mine. Am I missing a setting in POI ? Do I need to convert the CSV? I would appreciate a lead.

When do the New Garmin Models come out.
