Will Nuvi Work in Iceland?

Theoretically if one was available from Garmin, if I got a Street Maps of Iceland on an SD card, would it work in a 2495? 1490T? How exactly would one go about enabling the unit to function with the Icelandic map?

If this is a 1-time vacation to Iceland, I'd go for the Garmin map on a genuine Garmin SD card. The genuine Garmin SD map of Nordic countries may be found at a discount on eBay--or buy new from Garmin--and after returning from the vacation, you could sell the card on eBay since the Garmin SD card maps are tied to the SD card and can be swapped between nuvis with no map unlocking issues. Just be sure if buying a SD map on eBay that you're getting the original Garmin card and not a copy.
