Garmin Express

I have tried so hard to find a changelog on all of these version but to no avail.

I have tried to update it several times - It get's halfway into the installation process and advises "Install failed - Try Again?" Try it again and it fails again. Thank you Garmin.

your computer's software is fully updated. It sounds as if your version of dotNET may be down rev.

Any guesses on what the version will be by the time the next map update is released?

I'm guessing 4.0.

With all these updates, are they planning for the next map update to ONLY work with GE? Seems like the launch failed with the last map update and they had to revive the old Mapupdater.

Mine does the same thing except when I click try again it will finish installing.

Though all the GE updates have worked fine, after every update I have to go back and rename my zumo 665. All of the nuvis retain their names after GE updates but the zumo 665 always gets renamed to the 8 digit unit ID number. I guess GE doesn't like the name "zumo 665".

Just updated to v3.0.7.0! Whew!

How does it feel to be a Guinea pig for totally incompetent and inexperienced Garmin [so-called] software programmers/technicians?

The Mac version was also updated earlier today, but still remains where it was.

Now I'm sure these updates are being produced and distributed by the interns......Extras page is still empty! Hope they're really updating something anything ...somewhere .....

Well, it's not really important UNTIL the next map update. Then maybe it will flawlessly work for everyone or it will be a mess again for some.

So until the next map update is out, I'll not bother with any of the GE updates.

Can't disagree with most of what you've said but the Extras pages are not empty if you have a GPS attached to your computer when you open Garmin Express.

For real? Is THAT what's going on?? I need to try that!

I was hoping you were right .... my nuvi is attached and still nothing in extras.

I know it did work once during one of the last 10-12 updates but no more........
