I have no idea where else to "ask", so POIFactory gets my question

Two years ago, I traveled Orlando to Key West to Ft. Myers back to Orlando, not a single problem.
One year ago, I updated it and used it to travel from Ohio to Charleston, SC aagain no problems.

In preparation for a trip from Florida to Madison, Connecticut this week, I updated the unit a week ago.

I use my Forerunner for record hikes and walks storing the tracks in BaseCamp.

Lately I've noticed a decrease in battery life, has anyone seen any "battery replacement how-tis" for the ForeRunner 15 ?

Can't find town name (large town) OR zip code. I just get "no matches". I have just updated the maps and still can't find the places I'm looking for. These are NOT small towns. What do I do now ?

Learned about Archive files in blog here. http://www.poi-factory.com/node/30171#comment-form.Discovere... sequentially numbered GPX files in 765T's Garmin/Archive folder. Mapsource app no longer around. In Garmin folder there is a GPX file named Current. Rename that to Orig-Current. Copy a GPX file from Archive to Garmin folder. Rename copied file to Current. Go to Base Camp(BC) App.

My faithful Nuvi 3790 has started freezing, and often when trying to get it to unfreeze will suddenly go black (as if turned off).

It can be extremely difficult to get back, but sometimes if I double-click the on/off button the unit will go to the screen that instructs me to click twice to unlock the unit, and then it will operate normally until the next freeze-up.

Recently purchased a Garmin 3590LMT to replace my 885T.

This model accepts a 32GB micro-sd card.
I intend to have Europe maps loaded onto it.

Two questions:
1. Is it recommended to buy a "Class 10" micro-sd card?

2. I read that buying anything over 8GB was not recommended and that the larger 16GB+ micro-sd cards would actually slow the device down.

Is there any truth to that?

Just bought a second 67LM, it was a Birthday present for my Son. So everyone in my Family as a Nuvi. It also keeps the rugrats from borrowing my Nuvi! But I also maintain all the devices, yay

Well, I am getting the urge to upgrade again.

What I can't figure is the differences between the "two-digit" Nuvis and the four.

Is one a better quality of the the other?

I am seriously considering going to 6" or 7". I am not sure at that point the one inch will matter, since I am coming from a 5".

Why the two "brands" within Garmin?

Had it with Magellan, just returned my new 9490 as it wouldn't pick up satellites. Do you know if Garmin 760 is top of the line RV GPS or is something new on the way??

Is Four Square updated with Map Updates or is that a separate Down Load................

I recently bought a second Nuvi 2797LMT, a refurbished unit, to use on an upcoming trip to the U.K.

Well, I am wanting a new Garmin. I haven't looked into the new ones for awhile. I now have a Nuvi 2450.

I have been looking on Garmin to find information but am not sure of some of the units.

I would like:
Lifetime Maps
Dash Camera (do not need backup camera)
Lifetime Traffic
Large screen
Bluetooth® hands-free calling and voice-activated navigation

I'm planning a cross country trip and would like to leave my Nuvi 2595LMT running so I can record the entire trip, both ways, in real time. I will not have the ability to save out the archived data points for the log until my return.

Ok I backed up the files on my Nuvi 52 to my Win 7 laptop. Now what? I mean if I need to reinstall the files back to the Nuvi how do I go about it?
Please be sure to form your answers into a step by step for this Nuvi newbe.

I've noticed that for some ESSO outlets in the Ottawa area the Canadian Tire BMP shows on the map vice the ESSO one. I've checked the GPX file but cannot find any reference to BMPs. Any suggestions?

I still have a Garmin Nuvi 500 in one of my vehicle. It has a very slow processor and seems to take forever when looking for POIs. By any chance, has anybody here ever tried modifying their Garmin to a newer, faster processor? My guess is that the effort wouldn't be worth it, but I thought that I would ask anyway.

Updated on April 19, suddenly, voice command shuts device down as soon as you ask it to do anything. Can post a video showing what it's doing if necessary. 4 days ago, on 2016.30, never had an issue.

I took a trip to Atlanta this week and my trusty GPS seemed confused. Leaving the airport it showed me driving where there were no roads and all in all it was a bit confused. I soon realized that I have not been diligent about map updates and they have altered the roads and routes around the airport significantly.
