For vehicle icons.Go to https://www8.garmin.com/vehicles/bundles/allvehicles.html and select the one you want and download to the computer.It will be downloaded as a zip file.Once downloaded right click the file and select extract all.Once you have the extracted srf file saved on the computer.Connect the Garmin device to the computer using the usb cable.Now put the srf file in the vehicle folder on the device and select it as your vehicle. You should also have a few vehicles already in the vehicle folder to select from.

Make sure if you use a icon(bmp) to support a custom poi file You name it the same.For example
Subway.csv
Subway.bmp
