Hello Forum,

I am new to this forum and this is my first post. The last time I updated my Nuvi 350 (I think I updated it to 4.50), my user data disappeared. Is there a way to back up user data like recent selections, and personal POI's ?

I just finished updating the system software on my nuvi 350, using Garmin WebUpdater 2.0.1, to version 4.90 from 4.60.

After updating, WebUpdater 2.0.1 is no longer able to find the nuvi which is connected. The error message is "No devices were found. Please ensure that your device is connected and turned on and try again."

Another MapSource Update:

MapSource software version 6.13.4 as of September 26, 2007

Changes made from version 6.13.2 to 6.13.4:
*Fixed an issue with displaying the product name of some map products.
*Fixed an issue with receiving data from removable media on Windows Vista 64-bit.

So I was wondering if there was any way to change the display order of the button selections in the where to menu on my nuvi 360,.....

Are there any programs that will allow your GPS to show real time weather situation?..

I tried to look for a replacement online but could not find any.l I also tried to look up in the manual as to how I replace it but it says nothing. Moreover it gives a warning like "to preserve battery life try not to expose it to too much sun or heat" How are you supposed to do that without an external antenna?

I have a nuvi 660. I see when the device is hooked up to my PC that the sample mp3 files are in an mp3 folder.

1) may I delete those? Where are the audible samples? and may I delete those?

2) may I delete that folder? I plan to put my mp3s on an SD card.

my 330 shows mostly the names of the larger roads at the top of the screen, but you hardly ever see a sign showing the name of the highway on the road, only the route number. when you are in unfamiliar areas(why you use a gps)it gives me the highway name and i still don't know if i'm on the correct road.

I am new to this web site, and havent figured out how to search for topics yet. I was wondering if someone can help me. I am trying to find voice files to download. Not just the plain ones. Something with a little attitude....anyone want to point me in the right direction?

I lost my 60c (bottom of the ocean). I had City Navigator and World Map bought and unlocked on this unit.

Can I transfer the maps from this unit to the GPS that I just bought.

Etrex Venture HC. I know tha the Etrex does not route, but I would like to unlock the new GPS for maps that I already bought.

I have a Nuvi 660 and recently I have noticed that my unit has been giving me wrong directions (it had me drive right through the middle of a mall, on a route I use everyday)Any thoughts?

I've had my Garmin c340 for a couple of weeks and have had A BIG problem with signal loss, about 75% of the time. I did a software update and I even got an outside antenna and it hasn't helped. Do ya'll think I may have a lemon? Has anyone else had this problem? Any fixes? I'm from the Seattle area, does that make a difference?

does anyone know how to customize the map view on garmin nuvi 350 such that while navigating gas stations icons are always visible?

Hi everyone!

I have a Nuvi 680 and I was wondering if custom POIs will show up when I do "Where to?" searches for restaurants, etc? For instance, if I've downloaded the POI for Cracker Barrel Stores and I do a search for restaurants, will Cracker Barrel Stores show up on that list?...or will custom POIs only show up under the "Extras" section?

I recently purchased the Garmin Topo 2008 DVD and I am wondering if there is a way to find out which image file name is associated with what map segment in Mapsource.

The name in Mapsource (e.g. Moab,UT-CO East) does not provide the image file name (e.g. 00162774.img) that you see in the Windows Explorer.

How DO I do this? The POI loader has no option to install on the SD card. DO I simple cust and paster the files inside the garmin/poi folder into a garmin/poi folder on the sd card????? or are there other files that need to be moved. Please help....

I just updated my 330 to City Navigator 2008 North America. Now there are many streets in my area that lost their street names. A few major streets now show "CRXXX" instead of the street name. The names were there in the old map.

I have a E0mail out to Garmin but nothing yet. Do they come out with "patches" or free updates that you know of?

Being new to the GPS game, I've worked hard to learn as much as I could in the past 2 months. This forum has been great. Since the beginning, I've been d/l'ing information and POI files that appear to meet my needs as well as creating a POI file of western North Carolina attractions in Mapsource that I will upload as soon as it is ready.

When I plug-in my nuvi 250 to my computer va USB cable the unit comes on and shows a icon on the bottom of the screen showing it's connected to the computer.
When I try and turn it off to charge it nothing happens.
I also tried to turn it off BEFORE the maps load and then I get the "Charging Battery" message. In a few seconds it turns on and goes back to the connected to computer icon.

I downloaded POI and have them on my Nuvi. Some of the POI files have icons and/or sound. What must I do to get this to happen
