There are several threads here. Another is the "Modifying TTS Files" link at POI Verifier.

If you tell me which voice you want modified and the approximate increase in volume you need, I'll do it for you.

You'll have to know how to backup your original voice file and replace it with the one I send you. Your email will also have to be able to accept a HUGE file (15-20 MB). LMK.

However, and this is just a guess, if you increase the volume through the tts files, that it is going to distort on the nuvi.

They just came out with an update for the 350 to fix the distortion at the max level.

You can use AIM or MSN messenger to do file transfers if your email won't allow you.

Before the update I increased the volume on my nuvi350 without a distortion problem. With me the issue was getting the volume of the mp3 player and the 'direction' volume more equal, not to increase the total volume level. I believe that was probably the fix they put in, i.e. to make the mp3 player and direction volume more equal.
