How do I download and import grephics files? I have done a few POI files, but not graphics

Graphics

If you are talking about .jpg images. You simply move them into the JPEG folder on your unit. The unit will find them even if they are on the SD card. (That way you can take the SD card from your camera put it in your GPSr and view them).

Make sure that you name the picture file exactly the same as the poi file (except for the extension). Also make sure that both are in the same folder.

You may have noticed two different answers to your question. These answers are based on HOW you want to use the image files.

1) As pictures ( i.e. .JPG files ) , just to look at them on your nuvi screen.
2) To link them to individual POI, in which case we are talking about .BMP files.
3) Link the pictures ( .JPG ) to POIs via the "TourGuide" type .GPX file.

Thanks all for your replies

I'm interested in bringing in bitmaps to display on the map. (ie, the Applebee's icon for corresponding restaurants)
