Garmin talk

Can anyone tell me what I need to do after downloading the rest area files to my laptop, is it difficult to install these files on my Garmin 670? Thanks

I have a Nuvi 765t. We used it on a 1200 mile trip from NC to MN and back recently. During the trip up and back, it locked up 4 times. As in, the screen froze. No reaction to screen touch inputs or anything. Turning the gps on and off got it working again. Anyone else experiencing this with this unit, or similar units by Garmin? Everything else works ok.

One one occasion, it never picked up a satellite for an entire 15 min. trip. Next time I went to use it, same thing. The garmin website says one should not worry if it takes up to 20 min. (which sounds kind of hokey to me). It used to take only 1-2 min.

Hi all, don't know if this is the correct place to ask this, but i need some help !! I have just bought a brand new Garmin Nuvi 1490t but it does not support mp3 files and i wish to install voice alerts. The only way i can do this is to tx the files to WAV format and use POILoader Beta 2.4.0 to do this. Has anyone got access to the file and if so, can i have a copy.

Where can I buy a road map for Argentina for my Nuvi 250?

Does anyone know how to take a track and turn it into a route? Yes, I did actually read the manual and couldn't find an answer (MM, I have a 755t.)

* All user favorites are now shown in the list (not just nearest 50).

Hi, I have just bought an American nuvi 255w on ebay, ( I live in Australia but am going on a roadtrip 19 oct from Las vegas to Denver, so I need the US maps) but when I go to POI, there is NO info there or icons or anything except the icon for "spell name".

here is what im trying to do on a 885t. i have searched and cant find the answer, maybe someone has done this and can help me.

i have a catagory under custom poi's called " hobby lobby " and it lists all the hobby lobbys in the usa.

i looked everywhere, including here. is there a way to import the data from my garmin 855, and get my favorites? i think it would be easier to edit them in the computer. but more so i'd like to make the garmin into a geocache device since it can grab satellites much faster than my pda. thanks

I just ordered a Nuvi 255W to replace my Streetpilot c330. I've already got a friction mount for the Streepilot. Will it work with the Nuvi, or do I need to buy a new friction mount?

Never Mind, I found it (right at the top of threads!)

I have a Nuvi 350 and wanted to know if there is any limit to the number of tourguides that I can create. I currently have one for NcDonalds but am interested in creating others.
