Keeping the Windmill Alive - Where was your last trip with your GPS?

If anyone is in danger of losing their windmill, maybe you can share with us the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you use it to seek out special places to go. (Like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.) Anything to keep your windmill alive .
This isn't my last trip, but I thought I'd share this.
My sister and her husband just got back from England and Scotland. Before they left they purchased a Nuvi 270. She said it saved their marriage.
With absolute accuracy, it took them down old dirt wagon roads and goat paths until they reached their destination - an old English cottage in the middle of no where that belonged to an old aunt. I saw the pictures of these four ft. wide dirt roads and was amazed that a GPS even knew they existed.
The GPS also was a big help in city driving as well.
After much debate, they were truly happy with their decision to buy it for this trip. She said the could have rented one for $20 a day out there and they stayed 20 days. Considering they paid $400 for it here in the US, it paid for itself. My sister said that if she never used it again, she got her monies worth!
(Being a golfer and a motorcycist, I'm sure she'll be using it again, and again.)

It is great when you can just lay back and relax. Not drive anywhere
Traffic Notification
Returned from BWI earlier this week heading north. The TTN notification on the Nuvi was semi-useful, but woefully underestimated the delay time and missed several very slow areas on the trip. I would be curious about the experience of anyone who has compared the TTN notifications directly against the traffic layer shown on google maps.
Around DC
Just used it to navigate around DC. Did a little exploring on streets we don't normally travel.

I will be using my 1690 to relocate back to OH on Sunday. This will be its first long range trip - I have all my POIs and favorites loaded and ready to go - very excited. The bummer is that I will only be able to see my family every two weeks.

Found an undocumented parking lot...
Using the GPS and a rough handdrawn map of a ski hill, I managed to find a small parking lot where I can park and easy walk to a lift! The parking lot is on the other side of the hill about 10km off the main parking lot where it is always crowded. It is also closer from my direction. Nice! A precious bookmark

Have two more travels to/from Baltimore/Howard County upcoming this weekend. Wish the trips could be combined, but simply not feasible. Should get some more data regarding reliability of the 760 and the TTN traffic. Hopefully uneventful both trips!

The 1690 performed great. The map automatically switches to the traffic map when driving through an alert area. The Edge server reported that is was busy when I got to Louisville and into Ohio. I did not have traffic info. The junction view worked great, as I had junction views on 75 through Cincinnati. I really like this unit.

No issues over the weekend
No major problems this weekend. I did have a bit of a challenge locating PF Changs in Columbia, MD. Turns out it was on the opposite side of the shopping center from where the Nuvi directed me. (It was also too crowded, so off to Pei Wei we went!)
Nice Weekend
Nice motorcycle riding weekend out here in California! Used my GPS to find a State Park with the longest covered bridge still in existence (at least that is what they claim, 233 feet)---On the Yuba River near Bridgeport! Wonderful day trip on the bike (even though we got a few sprinkles coming home!

I took off into the country last Saturday and drove down roads I had never been on before. After I got myself thoroughly lost, I let my Garmin get me back home. I like to do that occasionally. I'm weird that way.

I used it to find . . .

keep going thru intersection
Was in Edmonton AB on the weekend and my Kna-g510 with maps 2010.40 was directing me over the upper cross road overpasses instead of telling me to go straight. My destination was many of those intersections ahead but was told by GPS to get in right lane to exit, and then go up and over the crossroads and reenter the road I had just exited from?? I find this very odd as these crossing roads are many years old.Anyone tell me why this is happening would be great!
San Jose to Jackson, CA

Today it was a beautiful
Today it was a beautiful spring day, and the wife was also off of work so we decided to go on a motorcycle ride to our favorite Nursery in Wilton, CA (outside of Sacramento)--since I live in the foothills, it is about a 50 mile ride from home.
On the way back, as luck would have it, we got a flat tire in El Dorado Hills. I was able to give the tow company our GPS coordinates and have our daughter come down and pick us up at the motorcycle dealer (looked up on the Honda Dealership POI I have).
Afterwards, we decided on a nice dinner--I have seen one place in Placerville that always shows up on various POI's --- like "Ride to Eat", "Favorite Family Restaurants" and a few others. The place is called Tortilla Flat, a wonderful Mexican restaurant. It was a really good dinner, well worth a short drive to Placerville!!!! At least the day ended well ---sigh

Ahhh, I knew there had to be one bigger. Maybe in a year when I retire, I'll meet the wife at the end of the driveway on the motorcycle and say "There is a bridge in New Hampshire I need to go see, be back in 2 months honey!"
First Post --> Went to Grand Falls, Arizona (Chocolate Falls)
This waterfall only flows during runoff from the snow melt in the White Mountains of Arizona, on the Little Colorado River. The falls are on the Navajo reservation, not too far from Flagstaff. There are no signs, and miles of dirt roads to get there, but it can be done in any street vehicle, including Harleys.
We tried to go last spring, but were deterred by a major dust storm. We had much better success this year. It's well worth the effort.

Location Incorrect for Crowne Plaza Hotel
This was the first instance I've run into with incorrect location information. On the way to the Baltimore Hamfest early this morning (*very early!*), we needed to stop by the Crowne Plaza Hotel to pick up tickets/passes. The hotel was clearly visible from I-83, but when we exited off the interstate, the Nuvi directed us the wrong way - clearly away from the hotel. Ground truth took precedence and we went right to the hotel. Not a common experience, but it certainly raises my awareness of the potential for errors.
4-day trip
From Boston to Montreal Canada. =) I got lucky and the weather was very nice. The snow was all but melted and the temperature was around 60s.
LAST TRIP
This was a complex one. Drove to Norfolk, VA. Flew to Jacksonville, FLA. Took the US Destroyer Gonzalez (DDG66) back to Norfolk for a 3 day "tiger" cruise to Norfolk. Drove home to Maryland.
My Garmin 350 still shows it knows it's stuff, improved ever so much by POI Factory POI's. Even tracked the water part of the journey as we plied our way north thru the Gulf Stream about 100 miles off the coast.
