It'll have all wrong info again like the last update. I recently updated to the latest maps and tried to route to an ATM POI and it sent me to a strip mall that had no bank at all and then I picked another POI and it sent me to someone's house. Kinda frustrating!

That's not too surprising. Many ATMs are free standing so they could be in a store or shopping center with no bank nearby. I show a bunch of businesses listed in a nearby apartment complex. The only "business" is a mailing address on a license as the store front could be miles away.

Bored maybe. Snow/cold house - bound boredom.

Per Garmin:

In about a month it will mellow.

The Zumo Garmin GPS series and Nuvi's I've seen do refer to the map versions with a trailing zero. MapSourse and BaseCamp both do not display the trailing zero in their displayed map versions. CNNANT2015.40 == CNNANT2015.4

If you synce your garmin with their "garmin express" program, then it will notify you when new updates become available.

I wasn't aware of that fact, thank you for that. It's weird there is inconsistency in how that's displayed (although the official version number does have the trailing zero)

I'm told by a very reliable source it will be released on Juvember 33rd.

I'm wondering if the Kmart that I sent in a correction for (non-existent where it was mapped) will be deleted from the new map. Shockingly enough, even got a response from Garmin that it would be deleted in a future update so will be waiting to see how far it (doesn't) show up.

Updating both my units to 2015.30. Figure by now that edition should be stable & Garmin LMT update bandwidth demand should be at a trough.

That is correct. A Tuesday release of 2012.40 was released on Tuesday, February 7, 2012, and that was released 90 days after 2012.30.

The reason I chose a Tuesday for the next release is simply because the odds are in favor of a Tuesday release at some point-in-time because, as you have correctly noted, there has only been one Tuesday release since January 2009. The normal days for releases (as you probably know) are Wednesdays and Thursdays by far, with Mondays and Fridays not favored. Clearly the best bet would be Wednesday or Thursday because of past history. However...like flipping a coin - if the coin lands on 'heads' 7 times in a row it 'might' be a good idea to next time choose 'tails' - especially if the payout was large, which I know is not the case here. Another reason I chose the Tuesday release date is because it is 90 days after the last release...and it has been 90 days the last two times.

Even though the releases could come out on one of the 5 [normal] work days of the week (Monday through Friday) there is no reason (that I am aware of) that would prevent a Tuesday release. That said, I'm guessing that the reason releases are not commonplace on Mondays or Fridays is because those two days are at the beginning of the week, and at the end of the week, and likely not good days to make releases.

If there was a large [bet] payout on the heavy odds against a release happening on Tuesday (e.g. 25:1) I would likely put some money on it for the reasons I stated above. Would it be a 'long shot' bet versus betting on the favorite? Sure it would, but something tells me that sooner or later there will be another release on a Tuesday...and who knows - this might just be it!

Anyway - it's just a guess...my guess. But it does have some thought behind it!

I heard from someone, that they heard somewhere, that they read that it would absolutely be coming out within the next 6 months.
