Time for another Garmin map update watch thread. 
Its been four months since Map City Navigator North America 2023.10 (http://www.poi-factory.com/node/52087) was released. Hopefully we'll see an update soon.

EU map was updated a few days ago, NA one isn't normally far behind.

Garmin Automotive
How do they even get the information on what has changed? Does the government publish changes to the roads, exits, etc? Then garmin somehow puts it all together?
Curious if anyone knows how they actually do it. Seems like magic to me.

I believe you inadvertently hit on the source of the map delay, the people at Garmin are taking a nap update.

Given this thread was started 30 weeks ago and then already 4 months in map updates are looking to be moving to yearly events.
One hopes the wait will be worth it.

Paid extra for lifetime maps ...
They should certainly be updated more often than yearly!
