Can't renew your license plate (Florida)? Here's why.
You loan your vehicle to a friend, friend gets ticket, you sign affidavit showing him as driver, he doesn't pay the fine, and then the state won't renew your tag. Well, not without some intervention anyway.

They've been doing this for some time now
This is an alternate to Red Light cams. Bright Blue lights that are placed above the traffic light and are bright blue for 360° when that light is Red. Don't need a camera, but you do need a police officer there to see it.

Orlando (FL) to add up to 30 more red-light cameras
You can hardly drive anywhere in the City of the Mouse without hitting a red light camera. And soon, two or more....
"The Orlando City Council voted Monday to extend its contract with LaserCraft Inc., the company the city has used since 2008, when it began the Orlando STOPS program.

Right now, the city has nearly two dozen red-light cameras at 14 intersections across the city.

No RLC tickets in Tucson
The City of Tucson is no longer issuing tickets from the 8 RL & speed cameras within city limits. The cameras are still on and recording though...

I am in Shock, no more RLC's or SC's in Tucson or Pima County
Pima County got rid of its cam's a while back, not enough profit. Well yesterdays election Tucson Voters voted them out for the City by 60 to 30 percent. They will be offline in about 2 weeks!!!!

Don't try this at home
"A man in New York who apparently had enough of red light cameras dolling out tickets to himself and fellow drivers was arrested this week after he posted videos instructing viewers on how to disable the cameras. Stephen Ruth filmed himself on a cellphone with a selfie stick using a painters pole to knock the cameras so that their lenses uselessly faced skyward."

Anyone know where this RLC map comes from?
I just happened to Google "Tampa Red Light Cameras" today and this clever little map showed up first in the search results.

Does anyone know who is maintaining the map (it would appear to be via My Maps as indicated in the legend) and/or where the RLC POI data comes from?
(Florida) Red-light cameras’ future may hinge on court decision in Oldsmar case
TAMPA — Clearwater resident Tammy Trinh was headed northbound on Forest Lake Boulevard when a red-light camera snapped her running a red light as she turned right onto Tampa Road.
A $158 fine from the city of Oldsmar soon followed in the mail.
Instead of paying, Trinh opted to fight the ticket.
