Anything to keep your windmill alive.

Please keep comments polite.

Our 55 Chevy

There was a post in the last Windmill saying too bad your son doesn't want to Keep it in the family and it was closed and I couldn't answer it.

Mary sorry to hear you are selling the Chev. Too bad your son doesn.t want to keep it in the family.

He would love it. He is in the process of changing jobs to a truck driver. He lives in a town house now and no where to keep it. We also have a daughter who would love it but doesn't have a place for it. They are both sad as it was restored lovingly by their parents. We thought it over and there is no way to share it with one without hurting the other's feelings so the only solution is to sell it. It would be great if we had two cars and could give each of them one but with no way to keep a classics car safe they understand.

Our son is trying to become a truck driver. It is a hard time for him but he was so gracious to go to the trouble of putting it on eBay for us.

The post from last weeks Windmill is below so everyone will know what I am talking about. You can look at a video of the car to see what we restored by putting watch?v=GcYhAOP8ris in a search engine. It is running so have the sound up if you want to see it.

Our 55 Chevy that my husband and I restored is up on Ebay for sale.
We are trying to get things in order as we get older and have never taken the car to any shows due to illness. It is just setting in the garage under a tarp for years waiting to go.
Our son posted it on ebay and put a youtube of it running if anyone wants to see what we worked on. Be sure and have your sound on as it has a 454 engine!
If you post the following in a search engine it will take you to the video:

another trip completed

Another trip completed to Atlantic City!

Surprisingly, traffic was mostly very light on the trip home. There was one log jam at the I-295 and I-95 junction (coming from the Delaware Memorial Bridge). A disabled vehicle was blocking the left lane. Then, after we crossed the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel, there was either a very bad accident, or maybe a shooting, after the entrance ramp to I-64 (looked to be at the exit ramp on the other side of I-64E). There were 6 or 7 police vehicles and ALL traffic going south on US13 was being diverted to to the I-64 east and west ramps. The I-64W ramp has a traffic light on the other side of I-64 where it crosses US13.

Except there being an abundance of visible police on the road and sitting on the side with radar, it was a fairly easy drive.

think we

might be ok, got acknowledgement from the 5.9 per kWh electric supplier that we're enrolled. Have been paying PECO 10.1 cents per kWh. I'm not usually asleep at the wheel like that paying 71% more than I should. I find the older I get, the more I'm not able to juggle everything anymore...

Sorta like doing an ultrasound in Dec 2022 and getting a $1200+ bill. When I could have waited for Jan. 1 and it would be $40. I never was one to cover up mistakes. Maybe someone reads this and they avert wasting their hard-earned money....

hot time

Bailing hay, mowing, working like an oxen in the field. But a new road trip is on the horizon. Sure would be grand to have freshened up maps for my trip.

Not warm - HOT.
I always loved the summer. I wore two blouses every summer for years.
Now that I am almost 80 and my harmones have changed I sweat with the least bit of heat.
I always said I love the summer. Now I say I love the Winter.
What a change.
