There is a Texas cage grudge match between two navigation technologies that are vying for dashboard dominance. In one corner are GPS-equipped mobile phones with turn-by-turn software. In the other corner are portable dash-top GPS units.
But the fight is about to take a nasty turn. Starting this month, the American version of Navigon’s MobileNavigator for the iPhone will get crowdsourced traffic reports.
