Contributors Of The Week 2017-11-13

This week we're recognizing three members: metricman, Timantide, and alandb.

I suppose Angela's surgery was near top of mind as I was following metricman's "We've Come A Long Way Since Robby The Robot" thread (http://www.poi-factory.com/node/47956). He shared a story about Boston Dynamics new Atlas and MiniSpot robots; and Timantide added some info about the Da Vinci Xi medical robot. It's interesting to see the sorts of things that pop up in the "open talk" forum.

And coming round to GPS, alandb shared an informative piece on CN EU NT/NTU maps (http://www.poi-factory.com/node/47944) and contacted jgermann to recommend an update to his "Release Date History For Garmin Maps" FAQ. Nicely done.

Please join me in congratulating metricman, Timantide, and alandb as our latest contributors of the week!

Thank you

I thank you for the cow award.
My posting of the Da Vinci robot was close to home for me.
My son was operated on for cancer with it, and I found it so interesting I had to let others know about it.
It changed the way they do it to be less invasive and less painful

Good Choice for metricman, Timantide, and alandb

My congratulations to all three.
This is what makes this site so special, it's not just about GPS topics. it's far greater than that. It's about people sharing their life experiences and passing their knowledge that may be beneficial to others.

I especially found the Da Vinci Xi medical robot interesting, I passed this information to a friend whose mother will be having surgery in the near future for a potential cancer growth she has.
Having it done by the Da Vinci robotics sounds promising.
