Is there a way to view the content of a poi file prior to downloading it into my GPS? I want to see if the poi's are of interest to me!

Over the last few weeks, he’s been helping us update the camera information for British Columbia.
We’ll have the Vancouver area completely cross-checked with this week’s update.

It seems to me that we have too many options right now. I like my 3 GPSs but some like to use their cell phones as a GPS. In my vehicles, I have CD players, radios, and MP3 playback though the Garmin or off my phone. It's nice to have lots of options but it seems like there is some unnecessary redundancy.

In danger of losing your windmill?

Maybe you can share with us the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you use it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.) Anything to keep your windmill alive.

How does one report errors to preloaded POI's on my nuvi. Was out of town this evening and searching for a McDonalds. Turned out to be three blocks away from the listed address. I know the nuvi allows me to report errors but it only removes that particular POI but does not allow to enter the correct address.

Pretty cool to see POI Factory get recognition in an article by big media.

I have started working on Icons that you can use on your GPS, I have been updating some of the older ones that I have posted here a long time ago, as well as creating new ones that are still missing for the POI files that is on this site.

If gas keeps going up in price and the supplies run out, we could all be driving one of these. LOL - not me! A semi would turn it into powder.

Gas prices are rising again, with little expectation of the increase slowing. Every year or two we seem to have an "event" that triggers a surge - Katrina, the BP blowout., etc. and the price of a barrel of oil jumps. But four years ago, oil was at $140+ per barrel and now it is "only" around $105 - $110.
