No audio I'm aware of. It's a display of live data it receives and no ability to translate that into audio.

Traffic receiver sounds

I recently replaced by Nuvi 255 with a 2595. The 255 would give a voice announcement ("traffic ahead") as soon as the route was calculated if there was traffic anywhere along the planned route and change the color of the icon. The new 2595 only gives a chime/tone as you approach the vicinity of the traffic issue and puts an information update on the top bar of the screen where the "next turn" info usually is. (The traffic icon still changes color at the beginning of the route.)
