help I can't get my maps on my nuvi just keeps sending message maps are locked. What do I do?

I am thinking of buying the new Garmin nulink 1695 and all I can find out about it on the internet is the same info mostly press releases no user info,right now the only place you can get it from now is Amazon.com and Garmin at a price of $449.00 Crutchfield has if for $399.00 but you can't get it from them yet.

I could have sworn, when i went on Garmnin's website the other day that I saw a nüvi® 3790LMT. It stood out because Costco.ca is advertising such a unit. Anyone else see that?

Hey, good news for a change. I had a bad charging cable and Garmin replaced it, even though I was out of warranty.

There doesn't seem to be a way to do this through the standard menus. Anyone know of a secret way to bypass a particular road in a route? I had this great option on my 2720, but not on the 1490.

Question for the knowledgable folk here. I just purchased the lifetime updates for my Nuvi370. My question is can I install the updates on more than 1 PC? I currently have Mapsource on my desktop, but I need to replace the HD. In mean time I want to install the updates on my laptop so I can have the latest maps available.

I currently own a Nuvi 260 that came preloaded with North America, Canada and Puerto Rico; I have used the 260 in Canada, Alaska and Puerto Rico and find this the ideal map for people living in the USA.

I am using my 765T MP3 player and sending through my FM radio, as I do not have an audio in jack on the radio. It usually works very well, but sometimes I get a bleedover of distant radio stations, even on the unused frequencies, when weather conditions are just right.

I'm reading some stuff around that says proximity alerts work ONLY on POIs that at or near a roadway. I have several Nuvi 1450T's. I am in Emergency Mgmt. I've created POI's for tornado sirens, rain gauges, and some vulnerable things like pipelines, pumping stations, etc. Obviously, most of these are NO WHERE near roadways.

Why do not see poi or gpx files in the browse box POI loader?

The last two days my MSN reception in the Phoenix area has been virtually non-existent. I routinely take my bean bag mount and cord out of my car and put in my work truck. Sometimes when I do, I notice a slight service disruption, usually about 15 minutes. I'm sure that the battery in the cord needs to be changed and the 125 minuite disruption is from it trying to acquire the MSN signal.

OK, I added a bunch of POI's and am not happy with the results. They all seem to be at least a block off from their actual location. The unit slows down so that even the cross streets don't keep up with speed of travel. I even switched to 2d, it still can't keep up.

My Nuvi 1390 & 1450 show the speed limit and vehicle speed.

Is it possible to add a icon to a pre-loaded poi file on a nuvi 205w.

Some of the poi files I have downloasded to my Garmin255 are not listed on Extras icon for custom poi's?

When I got my 755t it had a sneaker vehicle icon. Is there a way of getting it back?

I am planning to travel internationally to Argentina. Of all of the Garmin GPS available, which one is best for South America - Argentina ?

How can I tell if my garmin has UK maps.

Yes I know Bring it with me and find out it doesn't work, when I get there and turn it on. I want to check Before i end up Lost trying to find Stone Henge.
