Changes made from version 6.16.2 to 6.16.3:
◦Fixed some map display issues (22s & 71s labels instead of highway names).
◦Fixed Pedestrian routing.
◦Fixed some other routing issues.
◦Fixed Find Nearest Waypoints issue.
◦Fixed vertical profile custom scale settings (right-clicking on the scale of the vertical profile).
◦Fixed selection issue (waypoints were not de-selected when selecting a track before).
◦Fixed an issue where MapSource did not remember the grid setting correctly.
◦Fixed an issue with the updating process.
◦Fixed sort by number of via points in the route tab.
◦Fixed an issue with spot soundings.
◦Fixed a Polish localization issue.
◦Made MapSource more robust when encountering invalid map products.

Thanks for the heads up!

I hope this is not a stupid question. I'm new to all this, so please bear with me.

Is there any problems using the newest "Mapsource" version with an older Garmin "Map?" Meaning can I keep updating Mapsource, even though I don't plan on updating the GPS unit map (no lifetime subscription)?

There should be no problem using the new version of MapSource with older map versions. At least there hasn't be a problem with past updates of MapSource.

Thanks for the heads up. I just did the upgrade on my laptop (at work!). I'll have to check at home as I did a map update yesterday on my nüvi 760 and it "may" have updated to the new version of MapSource at the same time but it's possible that version didn't come out until today so it may not have updated.

There *may* be problems between certain maps and certain version of MapSource. For example, the map from here: http://www.calgarycachers.net/trailmaps/downloads.htm will not display properly with 6.16.1 or 6.16.2, but it was fine with older versions of MapSource.

Still have 71s on my maps. Well, I didn't see that it said SOME map display issues with that were fixed.
